Wage
£12,182 - £13,253 PER ANNUM PRO RATA

Anna - now perhaps you see - with my dumb (repeated) questions why I'm looking for domestic/carer type work rather than office

QueenofQuotes - I can see you aren't particularly numerate... but you are literate .

Anna8888 It actually takes a fair degree of intelligence and literacy to get anywhere as a care assistant. Unfair, because the job is so low paid - and for the wage you would not BELIEVE the things they have to do!

TheQueenOfQuotes · 05/12/2007 15:08

oh b*gger - not quite enough anyhow .....never mind - the search will continue.

Mind you just made an utter fool of myself on the Jobcentre phoneline......asked if I'd registered - said I thought so (I'm sure I did - but it was a while ago)........what's your NI number........me "urmm, err, err, hang on I'm sure I must have something around here with it on"

By which time she was already taking my surname and DoB and finding out that I wasn't registered, while I@m still flapping trying to find a Tax Credits whatsit or ANYTHING with it on....but to no avail...

gawd tell me about it Coldtits - I was on £5.50 an hour (I guess more now as the minimum wage has gone up hasn't it?) for working 9 1/4hr night shift

OP posts:
bozza · 05/12/2007 15:13

qofq it is 20 hours one week and then 12 hours the next so that does average and 16 hours as stated originally. So maybe the money would be slightly more than people have calculated due to the extra hours.

TheQueenOfQuotes · 05/12/2007 15:15
  • you're right it is isn't it - see I said you were all cleverer than me

so - here we go back to square one

£12,182 - £13,253 PER ANNUM PRO RATA (based on 37.5hrs)

16hrs a week.....

how much a month??

OP posts:
ScottishMummy · 05/12/2007 15:33

why dont you just phone HR ands ask your query?or what is hourly rate. i imagine you have an idea of what you need to earn to make this worthwhile.

TheQueenOfQuotes · 05/12/2007 15:36

SM - because I hate making "official" phonecalls - infact I hate making phone calls to anyone unless they're close family, or friends I've known for ages

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 05/12/2007 15:39

it's about 42.5% of full time

So

If it is on the lower rate ie
£12,182 it would be £99.56 a week before tax

on £13,253 it would be £108.31 a week before tax

ScottishMummy · 05/12/2007 15:39

hokey cokey!can someone help you.?

CountessDracula · 05/12/2007 15:41

or £431.44 a month lower
£469.37 higher

TheQueenOfQuotes · 05/12/2007 15:42

Scottish - can someone help me??? I don't think so - I believe I'm beyond help

Thanks CD
