Glad I could help.

Wish I could do more.... I remember being in a panic to replace my au pair / nanny. So I do really sympathise with your situation.

GOOD LUCK!

Tanzie · 01/11/2004 22:50

Lisa - I am in the same position - my nanny/au pair has just resigned

Oh no, Lisalisa! What bad timing. Are you sure it isn't you? Just kidding.

This is perhaps a daft idea, but I wonder if it's possible to put an add in alocal paper of wherever youmight find a new nanny / au pair. Like, if you like French girls, could you put adds in French papers?

Perhaps a dumb idea. Just trying to help because I remember when I was in a panic to find a new nanny my whole life was literally turned upside down. I was not pleasant to be around for at least a week.

Or, what about finding a close by university that has an education or childcare degree programme, and putting an add up at the school. Obviously, these girls (boys?) would have studies so might not be full time. But, it might get you through a crunch.

When is your nanny leaving?

Ameriscot2004 · 03/11/2004 15:37

Wanna swap?

Caligula · 03/11/2004 15:48

Might take you up on it!

Uwila · 04/11/2004 11:01

Tanzie, it's just my list of questions that I send out. CAT me and I'll gladly whiz it your way.

redshoes · 04/11/2004 12:44

Uwila I would love to see your list too - I am interviewing a potential au pair on Saturday - sorry to be thick but how do I CAT you?

redshoes · 04/11/2004 12:49

Uwila
I worked it out, winging its way to you!

Uwila · 04/11/2004 21:28

Redshoes,
I have no message from you. Did you CAT?

redshoes · 05/11/2004 17:57

Uwila
I had an email from mumsnet saying your registration form excluded contact and you would need to change your profile (I think!)...

Uwila · 08/11/2004 09:46

Funny thing redshoes. I got the same when I tried to contact you. I think I've unchecked the relevant box now, and it should work.

redshoes · 08/11/2004 09:55

ok trying now

Tanzie · 08/11/2004 21:54
