Do Work have to provide me transport?

Hi everyone, I have a dissiplinary for imsubordination. The thing is it’s not at the place at work and at the head office 1/2 hr away. I don’t drive. I’ve told them and they’ve told me to catch the bus. Do work have to provide me transport to get to the dissiplinary?

Ah. Just seen your latest post. I think you may need to adjust your perceptions. The other branch may have been chosen because it’s neutral ground. What you see as not taking the manager’s cr@p they obviously see as insubordination. Your combative attitude may not help you at the hearing.

If this is for real Confused. I would have thought you could claim expenses as its not your normal place of work. But given its a disciplinary I don't think I would.

Invite them over to your place instead.

Can I claim for your expenses like wakeupsally said? It dus say in my contract that they can put me at ane branch?

Stop worrying about the transport and spend your time preparing for the disciplinary meeting.

Then you probably can’t.

Is this a reverse?

Yes, ask them for an expenses claim form before the disciplinary starts. Keep your receipts for breakfast, travel, dry cleaning and elevenses.

Come on over to my place
Hey you
We’re having a disciplinary
We’ll be swinging, dancing and sacking
Come on over tonight

Of course you can claim travel expenses if it's further away from your usual place of work with increased travel costs.

We can’t tell you what your staff handbook or company policies say.

Claim for expenses? Even if you could, would you really want to piss them off? Assuming it is just the cost of a bus fare and not an expensive taxi you can't afford, no judge in the land would think that a reasonable excuse for you not to attend if they say no and end up dismissing you in your absence. Swallow your pride, pay the bus fare and be apologetic or if it comes down to a 50-50 decision, they will decide against you. It's just human nature.

How come on all your other post (Advanced Search is your friend) that you seem perfectly literate, write properly rather than use text speak, and can also spell 'discipline'? Hmm

If your contract states any branch then you are responsible for getting there.
Are you going alone? Are you in a union or is there a colleague that could go with you?

This has got to be a wind up. A try hard wanting to get to the daily fail? Worth it though, thanks for the laughs @scurryfunge

Is there a reason why you are typing like a chav?

Terrible of me to check, but your other posts don't have any hint of the chav speak you are littering your posts with on here.

Admittedly I don’t know the full story but rather than it being bullying by your manager I imagine they’ve picked head office as a neutral place for the disciplinary.
I’d much rather get a bus than have to come out of a disciplinary meeting and have all my colleagues watching.

This has got to be a troll.. no one surely is this entitled.
Op on the off chance you are real, I would say that you won't have to worry about your manager "having it in for you" much longer.

Have I stumbled into a weird therapeutic roleplay activity? Clearly the op was a wind-up, but why would you do this under a regular username? Confused
