If you earn 100k plus, what is your occupation?

I've posted this here as it is a bit U, but i am curious to know what jobs pay mega bucks.

I've just been looking on a jobs website at admin jobs, most are paying on average 20-25k (in London). With the cost of living as it it, that sort of money will not go far at all.

I've been a SAHM for a while now and have begun looking for work. I'm considering retraining, but only in something that pays well!

So members of the 100k club please spill the beans and let me know your secrets!

I wonder now what you all think of £100k per year? Did any of you manage to get there or get a man who earns this kind of money?

I personally earn £120k per annum as a senior consultant in a field of engineering, involving highly complex high value projects. I am 36 years old, 15 years experience, work extremely hard, highly intelligence, enroute to my 3rd degree BSc, MSc and MBA, have an additional 3 professional qualifications with a view to doing law next. The role is demanding to the extreme and most people would not be able for it, sometimes I think I'm not, but I learned to keep going, I do take a mini retirements i.e. a year off to reflect, relax and develop further.

The lady above can retrain and do whatever. If money is your motivation then you will likely not succeed to earn the kind of money I do. My motivation is curiosity and the will to be a master in my area and to increase it into other areas. I have no money concerns, I live like I earn an administrator's wage, yet most people who earn the kind of money I do are not humble, so they spend as much as they have and more.

Personally I think there is go reason why only a few people earn over £100k p.a. because most people want the good life but aren't willing to work for it. Of course it depends what you define as the good life. I have it but it is not because of the money it is because of my mind. My life has not been with major trauma and that it why I love life.

I take home £12,300 a month as a major incident recovery consultant [self employed] for an investment bank in London.
Three years ago I fixed computers for a small company.
I had to sleep in hostels and shelters in London, even sleeping rough some nights, shaving in a grotty pub toilet for the first 2 months until I got paid. My Primark suit is still my favourite as the jumped up knobs I work with compliment me on it with no clue it cost me £35. Ive had to lie, cheat, borrow, kiss ass, step on to get here but if I can do it surely anyone can.

Why would you seek this thread out and resurrect it to tell everyone how much you earn? (More per month than I earn in a year at present but hey ho, different strokes).

I found it when I was searching for something else on google, and I didnt realise how old it was. I didnt post to tell the anyone what I earn, the point was that anyone can do it. Just trying to help.
