Woolly Hugs. A Blanket for lovely Notapizzaeater whose wonderful DH has sadly died.

I'm afraid we bring very sad news. Notapizzaeater’s wonderful husband died earlier this year, he had been suffering from cancer. Such devastating news, we are so sorry that life has been so cruel. Cancer is such a vicious, indiscriminate illness. Our love and thoughts are with her, their son and their family. There is no separate thread, notapizzaeater has been posting in the amazingly supportive thread ‘Still the storm” in the topic Life-limiting illness. Love and strength to everyone over there.

We have offered to make notapizzaeater a blanket to show our love and support and to offer what comfort we can, and we are delighted to say she has accepted.

So we are asking for help once again

No particular themes, except sea, beach and nature themes

Important crafting info
Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook. Please knot off VERY carefully when finishing or changing colour and sew your ends in, thank you! No blocking please, makes it much easier to join squares.

Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.

When posting, it will be the Teddington address, please make sure you add your name and who the squares are for, and if you would like to include a card for notapizzaeater and her family, please do, we will pass it on.

I am on a lengthy jury service and would really appreciate it folk could wait until June 1st to post. Otherwise DH tends to just pile things up in random places, it would be much safer to hang back!

Last posting for this project is July 1st.

Aww thank you all so very much, DH would be 'chuffed' about this. He is very much missed by all the family and his friends - gone far too soon.

Absolutely yes. And at Chelsea! My DH is also a Chelsea boy for some reason. We’ve always counted it as ‘our team’ but never actually watch it.

So still on jury service and chipping away at getting wool out. But don’t fret, if you’ve asked, you will receive! Wool Warehouse are still seemingly struggling with supply of certain brands. But hopefully there will be enough. It might be mix and match of brands. But that’s no bad thing.
