And if a trans person has been sexually assaulted. Do they have a right to say they don't want men they don't know , however they present, in places where they are getting in and out of their clothes?

Edited

That’s not a women’s problem to solve and it doesn’t mean they are entitled to go into a women’s space, if we’re talking about trans women. Campaign for men not to be cunts.

HenriettaSwanLeavitt2 · 02/11/2026 22:14

Blimey, lots of goalpost shifting on this thread to prolong a bizarre derail.

It's interesting that even when we lose a case the TRAs don't like us to talk about it 😁

But. of course, we will.

Yes, but not in the women’s if they are a man.

The RCN let Sandie Peggie down
by not highlighting at the very outset that NHS Fife was in breach of H&S1992

Theo Upton should never have been allowed into the female changing space
regardless of his identity that day

Under the EA2010, service providers are required to provide gender neutral solutions
but as both Upton and Peggie were employees
the Supreme Court Ruling in all its layers
never applied to them

the RCN were negligent from the utter outset in standing up for their member in Scotland
and for the members in Darlington

Well that's pretty broad.

'I want to serve lemon drizzle cake at the party '

'Well I don't like lemon drizzle cake! You somehow excluded me! Whaaaa!'

When are people going to grow up?

But that goes for everyone who does that. When someone argues against single sex spaces, many GC people say it is exclusionary to women and especially women from certain minority groups. The same argument ("grow up") could be used against them. Especially in spaces where the majority of women are okay with trans inclusive/genderist policies.
It is subjective opinion that the natal women championed by GC people matter more or that the trans people matter more. It doesn't matter who agrees with what side, it's still an opinion.

'However they present' - who are you talking about? Men presenting as women? Ie Transwomen?

Is the penny dropping Lacksie?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 02/11/2026 22:13

This is all very fascinating stuff, but what is the actual relevance to Sandie Peggie or your claims that GC feminist women “wish harm” on people?

It's relevant to the shock another poster expressed at someone who isn't GC speaking poorly of someone who is (Sandie).

HenriettaSwanLeavitt2 · 02/11/2026 22:21

Such as?

Nope.

Not remotely the same. It is not about 'who matters more'. It's about who is included within a category. Sex is a factual category. It is not an opinion.

I think you've misunderstood something quite important. I don't care what you or most people on here think about anything. Never mind what you think about me. I pop on this board to pass the time - unlike many of you it isn't my entire personality. Frankly I don't hold you in any regard whatsoever.

You've done some very bizarre mental gymnastics to take offence because a woman who uses racist slurs and vile dehumanising language about trans people, not to mention had an incredibly homophobic reaction to discovering her daughter is gay was labelled a bigot. Do you defend all racists with such rage or is Sandie different because she hates trans people as much as you seem to?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 02/11/2026 22:23

It’s a legal category under the Equality Act, too.

Sad. I would never spend so much time with people who <checks notes> I don't hold in any regard. Are you a masochist? Genuine question.

Yeah, Shere Khan vibes....

I’m sure you realise the feelings are more than mutual, @alcovecupboards - few people here take anything you say particularly seriously or care what you think. So all the bluster in the world doesn’t amount to anything. If you took a step back or saw yourself from the perspective of someone else, you’d maybe think it was a bit sad “passing the time” in this way. But each to their own.

But it is your personality to hang about these boards (you seem to A LOT of time to spare) that you hate. The posters, the topics, women defending their rights to their own sex based spaces. So bizarre.

But I'm not spending time with you. I come onto this board when I'm reminded it exists. While some here clearly need this board, I don't. I'd recommend trying to find friends in the real world if you feel like that.

If the "poster" is me, that is not an accurate representation.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 02/11/2026 22:36

I’m not sure why we’re supposed to find it important that alcove doesn’t like us. I don’t give a single fuck that any trans rights activist or any of their hangers on doesn’t like me. I don’t consider misogynistic people to have any kind of moral superiority or standing. I judge them equally as hard, if not more 🤷‍♀️

It doesn't like you share my disinterest. In fact I'd suggest you have the opposite issue.

BettyBooper · 02/11/2026 22:38

To @alcovecupboards @Lacksie and anyone else in doubt:

I will always ALWAYS prioritise my daughter's safety over some random man's sad feelings at not being allowed in her changing room.

The more you continue to argue the point, the more steadfast I become.

HTH.

Why would I be in doubt? I support single sex spaces where appropriate. I don't support racist bigots. Hope this helps.

But we all have friends in the real world, we just care about this important issue and this board has been quite important to turning things around, however much you dismiss it (we don’t care, it’s good to be underestimated). So do lots of people care about this issue, I think you’ll find lots of people you agree with do too.
