I mentioned a “macrocosmic polycule” on another thread, can they get on the bill too?

Wasn't there a Gilbert and Sullivan character who claimed to trace his descent from a "protoplasmic primordial atomic globule"? Perhaps macrocosmic polycules are a sort of colonial development of that. Like ascidians or something.

And primary male sex organs.
He is male you numpty.
Growing some fatty lumps isn’t the same as female breast development.
He isn’t female in any way except in his head.

'Secondary female sex traits' are having their 15 minutes of fame at the moment! They've appeared in a number of posts recently.

The current version of TWAW seems to be that a man who transitions can acquire enough 'secondary female sex traits', including hormonal and psychological, to be considered a kind of woman - so he is 'socially a woman'.

I gather it's out of fashion to claim that people can actually change sex, [in fact it's even claimed that nobody ever said they could🙄] so 'TWAW' has been toned down by admitting that a man cannot become a biological woman, but he can be socially as near as dammit, so budge up, ladies...

There is nothing that the ChoppingBaileyNorthernIcelandicGretelHowse's of the world won't claim if it relates to wedging men into spaces there women and girls undress.

The fact they spend so many hours on here trying to gaslight / persuade women to go along with this just shows how little they know about women, mothers, lesbians, parents and Mumsnet 😁

The point you are missing is we don't fear all men the same. Being alone with a old man or gay man or well dressed man or trans woman doesn't inspire the fear in people on the ground hence the support of trans women.

JKR's generalisations about men don't work in reality when it comes to personal experiences. Context matters.

Can I just take a moment to say... what the fuck did i just read?
You think women can judge whether a man is a sexual predator on how well dressed he is?!

I mean I guess the internal logic, that men can be admitted to female spaces if they're wearing the right outfits, is consistent...?

I must admit I was struggling with this too. Are we supposed to let old men, gay men and well-dressed men into our toilets and changing rooms too? Do they even want to be there?

How do you know if an unknown man is gay?

Quite. How old is old enough? What if he is young, gay and wearing M&S? It's a minefield.

This is what I mean by reworking reality! In the post above you literally (actual meaning) write,

doesn't inspire the fear in people on the ground

which seems starkly different to what you reframe it as an inch below, in women's experience shapes their perceptions.

In fact... Maybe what we're seeing here is a Greek god complex? You know, arbitrary, capricious and sometimes just a bit... hard to follow...?

Which conflicts with the concept of the self ID and multiple and fluid genders.

No amount of railing at JKR can make any of this more coherent.

That's interesting. So you felt that that immensely complex and subtle difference (think, inequality, education, immigration, race, &, above all, associated discrimination etc.) is sufficient to generalise about what does / "doesn't inspire fear in people" (your words)...

But you don't think the near-100% difference between males and females in propensity to commit sex crime is sufficient to generalise accordingly for safeguarding purposes?

The ability to confuse & distort a simple point about how personal experience shapes perception….a point your hero makes the centrepiece of informing her views is astounding. But when you think about the consequences of not doing so being accepting your hero is a raging hypocrite by denying it to others makes sense. Its called cognitive dissonance.

Read it three times and it still doesn't make sense. Is there some punctuation missing?

Lol. Poor old cool.

Nope - women aren't interested in the wails of men insisting on access to girls and women undressing. We see them for the perverts that they are.

But you crack on with moaning about JKR and no doubt all other women standing up for the rights of women and girls to privacy and safety from dodgy men. It's very revealing - as always.

I'm sorry, I genuinely can't understand what you've written.

I will say I don't have "heroes" (except the chocolate kind, and then, whenever possible), and haven't written anything on this site to suggest I do. I think I've pretty much only said it's a good essay and I agree with it! Again, this is what I mean by the projection onto others of your own assumptions and prejudices in un-evidenced and quite extreme terms.

With regard to the rest, though...

I've read it three times now. I think it's a combination of incomplete sentences, lack of commas and elision, plus a few typos? Not sure, though.

We all have personal perceptions. I have of you, certainly. But society doesn't run on personal perceptions. All this "language is violence" and "words create reality" is fine on the lips of late 60s French philosophers, but it has nothing to do with the concrete reality of sex based differences.
Rowling is just one of the few famous figures who has been brave enough to speak up.
No God complex, in fact her pitch isn't complex at all, and she certainly isn't a god. She's more a truth speaking multi tasker, like the best mums out there. Telling petulant children like you and your TRA clan, and especially the women in the credentialized classes who've hung working class women out to dry, that you can't win this war on reality.

Is this the new "EDUCATE YOURSELF"?

Either that or it's the support act you ignore while ordering a pint or two, knowing it's going to be a good hour or so before the act you want to see is on.
