Ireland has the presidency of the Council of Europe until December.
Ireland has gender self-ID, it has gender identity embedded in its school curriculum, its institutions and media toe the line with an unquestioned priority of trans rights over all other rights and 'no debate'.
And yet... for the vast majority of Irish people this is either unknown or unpopular. Of the fifty or so dog walking conversations I've had in the last month I haven't found anyone from any age or walk of life that has not said either, "I didn't know that" or "It's madness isn't it!?"
You have a captured country -- its institutions and media and schools but very little support from the voters.
I think this presidency could be a chance to make some changes in Europe and in Ireland.

Anyone want to join me in writing to them? Trying to get them involved. If they realise how unpopular this is with voters that might make them stand up.
There is a meeting by Athena Forum who are bringing the debate to Brussels on the 3rd November. That could be a place to start. To encourage the MEPs to go and listen to Helen Joyce and Anne Kalvig amongst other impressive women.
