WTF is going on? There are letters circulating with members alleging bullying, and anyone who asks a question is suspended and comments deleted. The leader calling everyone to urgent meetings with bizarre messaging: ‘there is no letter, and if there is it’s full of lies, and you can’t see the letter just trust us, and ooh look, something shiny!’ Should I cut my losses, cancel my standing order and just follow Let Women Speak?

Well, according to posts in WRNS shown on here, the director and coordinators ARE telling their members to still go along without them. Whether the women actually go is another matter entirely.

Let’s see whether the women who do show up, still in the dark about WRN’s bullying and toxic behaviour, embarrassingly try to defend them and will be set straight by all those in the know 😂

The post explained what will happen… little oblivious WRN lambies will go along to the festival and meet other women they may never have met before. And just imagine that those poor naive little lambies dare complain about the unfair and unjust behaviour of the festival organisers to cancel their precious revered leaders. What do you think would be the response of any woman in the know, any ex-WRN that was cast out unfairly or bullied?? Try really hard and you might be able to imagine how it might play out. Maybe a few home truths? Most likely politely done.

How absolutely disheartening for the organisers who put so much time and effort into creating this festival that they find a vitriolic few will actually threaten other attendees, who have every right to be there, having paid the same money.

WRN leadership says their co ordinators are not going & any member going should have a “nice time”.
For those of us who were purged in June 2026 for daring to join a Scotlandwide chat with other purged WRN members & other non WRN feminists,
I have to confess that my “breach of confidentiality” was to foolishly (apparently) mention the fact that WRN was asking people to REAPPLY to be members of each specific activist group and ignoring those who were asking to belong
AGAIN.
I am not sure that this should have resulted in 61 others being culled from membership of WRN.

When I went to Alloa previously, the times I went it was a great atmosphere with lots of different women and I got chatting to loads of different people. I don't think there will be any issues as the bigger picture for the day is focusing on women's rights and at the end of the day that's what everyone on this thread (bar the AGP man who popped by at one point) cares about. I met politicians across the different parties, if they can be civil and engage then I'm sure all can.

I can't make it now, but I'm sure it will be a great day.

WRN Scotland’s information governance & general housekeeping is very poor.
Someone asked who was going this year on the WRN Alloa Festival WhatsApp group (which is still there from last year) & there was a sudden flurry of people being deleted from that chat & another group about Twitter set up several years ago.
Not a good advert for keeping members’ personal data safe.

One of the reasons I didnt join any networks was that back in the day, there was an utterly demented woman who started a 'Mumsnet Refugees' group on FB which was aiming to gather together all the people banned for stating biological facts. And to then doxx them. I smelt a rat and never joined but I believe it all went tits up as they say.

This behaviour by people supposedly either one of the people in the self appointed 'in charge of women's rights' club or pretending to be one of them, is as equally demented.

I really have no other words to describe it.
