Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Excellent as always from Naomi, made me wonder if she’d been reading the thread about Duncan Bannatyne saying some men in women’s spaces are perverts and the OP making the point that ALL men (except those legitimately there, cleaners etc) in women’s changing rooms are perverts.

I’m sure she’s seen it. I think most people reading his posts on X won’t have subscribed to her Substack. Be good to get their posts linked.

I think this is the best bit:
They go to a variety of different lengths to be seen as women. Some do everything in their power to “pass” as women, including radical remodelling of their genitals, voice surgery, facial feminisation surgery, laser hair removal, and modifying their gait and social behaviour. I’ve heard tell that the anguished desperation of some of these men to be seen as women has even led some of them to go so far as trying to modify their habit of interrupting and talking over women.

"...to go so far as trying to modify their habit of interrupting and talking over women."

😂 that made me laugh out loud. 😂

Me too!

So forgive me, but I think women are entitled to be particularly wary around such a man. He may not, quite, be a proven sex pest; but he’s certainly displaying some pretty troubling red flags.

Perfect. To the trans-identified males reading along on FWR, if you use women's facilities you are displaying red flags. You know enough about this by now to understand that this is how many of the public, both women and men, view you.

Exactly. The good men stay out so the bad men stand out.

Excellent work from Naomi as ever.

Helleofabore · 21/01/2026 22:13

Great stuff. Thanks Mordaunf

ApplebyArrows · 21/01/2026 22:13

Is anyone taken in by this "dolls" language, which is clearly an attempt to generate sympathy? At best it makes me think of Barbies (unconvincing plastic fake women). At worst it just sounds utterly misogynistic, as if they think real women are really just mindless playthings too.

TempestTost · 21/01/2026 22:17

Yeah, the "dolls" language is just weird.

It immediately puts an image of Barbie Kardashian in my head. Which I don't think is the idea.

TheRozzers · 21/01/2026 22:39

Brilliant from Naomi! Absolutely nails it 🎯

JoanOgden · 21/01/2026 22:41

Yes, "protect the dolls" is SUCH a weird slogan. It makes TW sound like fragile flowers without any intelligence or agency, which surely isn't how their supporters like to think of them?

Its perfectly apposite when one considers some of the sissification fetish tropes.

ArabellaScott · 21/01/2026 22:57

Blanchard suggested the AGP-fetish v gay trans man split was roughly 75% the former. But that was before men got medals for wearing a skirt, it may have changed.

And Naomi is, of course, right - it doesnt matter, and I dont really care what reasons a man has for wanting to access women's spaces. He can't.

Tunnocksmilkchocolatemallow · 21/01/2026 22:59

“Protect the dolls” always puts me in mind of those inflatable sex dolls. It seems porn-inspired to me. Nothing could be further from fragile flowers.

And me. I recognise enough truth in it for it to be very funny. And I do try, and fail, to avoid interrupting and talking over people (not just women!).

Are you sure you should be out in public if you can't control your speech?

moto748e · 21/01/2026 23:56

Naomi nails it as always, she is so sharp. And yeah, on any level, 'protect the dolls' is weird, agree.

PersonIrresponsible · 22/01/2026 00:06

Girls grow up and stop playing with dolls. The dolls end up in landfill.

Ergo: Women don't need dolls.

RedToothBrush · 22/01/2026 00:26

You know those dolls that get trashed - the ones with arms missing, wearing terrible clothes or given a bad haircut? Or the ones on Traitors which are creepy as fuck? Or a bit Chucky wealding a knife?

Whenever I see that slogan, that's what I think of.

It gives me the absolute creeps, as does any man regardless of “identity” who comes out with it.

ScathingAngelAgrona · 22/01/2026 03:42

When I read the phrase “Protect the dolls” my brain automatically changes
‘dolls’ to ‘dulls’.
