Kamala Harris says women should have sports!

fromorbit · 24/09/2025 07:31

The biggest Democrat name to come out openly and say women should have their own sports however clearly she is still very confused.

In her new book, “107 Days,” Harris also expressed frustration, in hindsight, for not pushing back on the Trump campaign’s ad that focused on transgender athletes.
“Why didn’t I punch back harder?” she questioned.
That television ad, which ran during prime time sporting events including football and the World Series last year, claimed “Kamala was for they/them. President Trump is for you.” Harris argued that the pronoun that really mattered was “we,” as in “we the people.” But while she argued that “transgender people are Americans, with the same rights we all have, to liberty, equality, the pursuit of happiness and equal protection under the law,” she said the ad did misconstrue her stance on transgender athletes in women’s sports.
“The ad also said that I supported ‘biological men competing against our girls in their sports.’ That's not my position,” she continued.
“I agree with the concerns expressed by parents and players that we have to take into account biological factors such as muscle mass and unfair athletic advantage when we determine who plays on which teams, especially in contact sports,” Harris clarified. “With goodwill and common sense, I believe we can come up with ways to do this, without vilifying and demonizing children.”

We know why Harris didn't say anything because she would have been cancelled for saying women were real in any way.

However Harris also said in the book she was right about paying for sex changes for criminals.

Harris concedes that the Trump campaign was right to think they had "landed on a winning message," but she doesn't think the ad was a "knockout punch" that propelled Trump to victory. This was merely the "conventional wisdom" among pundits and "middle-aged men" who "watch a lot of sports," she writes, describing a huge chunk of the American electorate that Democrats have deliberately ignored for years.

"I do not regret my decision to follow my protective instincts," Harris writes. "I do regret not giving even more attention to how we might mitigate Trump's attacks." Her campaign's internal testing found that the most effective rebuttal to the "they/them" ad was to accuse Trump of lying and quickly change the subject to price gouging.

Harris explains that at the time of the interview—several weeks before she dropped out of the Democratic primary in 2019—she was eager to placate liberal activists in California who accused her of being insufficiently pro-trans. That's why she bragged about changing state policy to ensure that "every transgender inmate in the prison system would have access to the medical care that they desired and needed" in the name of "civil rights," "justice," and "humanity."

The failed candidate goes on to say that she feels a "deep connection" with the transgender community and is friends with the parents of "transgender kids." Harris envisions herself as a "protector," which is why she defended the rights of illegal immigrants to receive taxpayer-funded sex changes. "There was no way I was going to go against my very nature and turn on transgender people right when they were being so intensely and intentionally vilified," Harris writes. "I was aware of the weight of my voice and had no intention of adding to their burden."

Obviously this is inconsistent nonsense. Yet it shows how much things have changed. If Harris said this last year it would have been huge. Now it is hardly discussed very few news articles on it.

I think major Democrats are going to backtrack on sports, while trying to keep rapists in women's prisons and other arguably worse things.

The TAs are losing. Bit by bit the fight back to say women and men both exist is gaining ground. The Terfs were right!

Harris reflects, reveals regrets of her '107 Days' as the Democratic nominee

“Why were we feeling so confident in a race that had never shifted out of toss-up territory?” she questioned

It's difficult for truth to be spoken in America because it is completely corrupted by end state capitalism. Anyone who questions anything in which large corporations have their sticky fingers, from fossil fuels to pharmaceuticals, is destined for the political scrapheap.
And 'trans' is a good money spinner, from the obvious winners of private doctors and a life-long market for hormones and other medications, to the less obvious wins to corporations of getting their EDI points not via actual diversity and sustainability, which take time and effort (and therefore $) but via 'trans' white middle class males.

I was gobsmacked by all the Democrat celebrity endorsements during the election campaign. To be fair, that might have been what was reported in the UK but not a true reflection of the whole campaign. I also don’t hold Kamala Harris solely responsible as I imagine much of it was already planned by the time she was endorsed. But from where I was sitting in the UK, it was extraordinarily ill judged and gave off Marie Antoinette vibes.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 26/09/2025 11:23

The most shocking thing was the cover up of Biden's infirmity. The President is the most powerful man in the world. No wonder the voters were angry.

lcakethereforeIam · 26/09/2025 12:21

The machine they used to sign off legislation!? I understand that they're used and they're useful, but the 'President' might have 'authorised' legislation he might have never been aware of!

Ive never understood how gay men have been placed in men’s prisons since the beginning of prisons and yet men who say they are trans get to live it up in women’s prisons. I mean, one would think gay men would have targets on their backs in men’s prisons as much as a TIMs. How is it that gay men have not railed at the (supposed) injustice of it all?

All kinds of vulnerable men have been placed in men's prisons.

Why on earth would we make am exception for this one group of men?

Didn't she do really badly in the 2020 primaries?

Even early in Biden's presidency, I got the impression that she wasn't that popular, and that there was concern about her replacing him.

It's easy to say with hindsight, but if she wasn't a good candidate in the first place, it's not surprising that her campaign was a bit of a mess, given that she had such a short lead time.

She did so badly she dropped out after tanking in the first state she ran in - her own state.

She was also one of the most unpopular VPs of all time.

Reportedly, when Obama realised they would have to run KH, he said they had lost the election.

If you haven't, you should look at the book Original Sin which covers what went on behind the scenes with Biden in the run up ato and during the campaign. It was essentially a cover up, not just against the public but against regular Democrats, the media, and people within the DP hierarchy.

I agree with this.

in addition, the TRAs are so militant, that the backlash to any Democratic hopeful saying that males shouldn’t be in girls/women’s sport would be enormous.

They haven’t got the guts to stand up to the far left factions of their own party, but if they want to win another election they will have to.

Delphinium20 · 27/09/2025 03:33

So true, Keating. Every single man in prison would be better off if he could lounge in a women’s joint. Male prisons are dangerous places, wrong race, wrong religion, wrong look, wrong gang, wrong family, wrong crime…so many factors put individual men at risk. A strong, rich, old, straight, ugly white man can as easily get his assed kicked as a pretty gay Latino man. Transwomen have to be some of the most privileged men on this planet. In the U.S., they aren’t even murdered at the same rate as the lowest male demographic (Asian men have lowest, Black men highest).

Floisme · 27/09/2025 08:07

I agree the cover up of Biden’s failing health and capacity to do his job was an absolute disgrace. It has left the Democrat party with no moral high ground from which to challenge Trump, and what’s even more frightening is that they don’t even seem to realise it.

Delphinium20 · 27/09/2025 18:34

I know. I'm quite frightened because the things Trump is doing are dangerous, and as much as I hate the overuse of this word, he's pushing toward fascism. The Democrats had an easy win by simply acknowledging reality (of Biden's age/health, gender ideology) and they utterly failed.

The Dems won’t disavow the far left extreme part of its party yet because they don’t think they need to. The Dems believe that Americans are going to be so angry, frustrated and appalled at what Trump is doing that that they will have no choice but to vote for Dems. At least in the UK and European counties there are more options for voters to choose from whereas in the US Americans are forced to vote for one bad party or the other bad party with no real options. The only thing that will force Dems to finally change course on the trans issue is losing in 2028, otherwise they will dig in more no matter what their constituents want.

They've started using the old GOP tactics for trans rights similar to the abortion issue which was that abortion was a state’s rights issue. That each state should decide if abortion was legal and let their citizens decide (which has worked in some states and not in others). This has created a patchwork of women’s rights across the US where women have abortion rights in some but not in others. Essentially American women have certain rights based on geography which is a horrible place for American women to be. Dems are pushing this now with trans in sports, saying now that states should decide the fate of it. So, like abortion, girls and women in some states might have rights to their own sports (think TX, FL, IN) but then in other states (think CA, MD, Maine) women and girls are forced to play against males. But how does that help women and girls when you rights depend on geography? Today, American women have less rights then they did 40 years ago. It’s a sad state of affairs when your option is either Trump or Dems.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 27/09/2025 19:56

I agree. The Dems have monumentally fkd up on many issues such as their focus on trans rights, DEI and so many issues unpopular with blue collar workers whom they no longer care about.

I find this a weird argument, you could make the same argument about Europe, or the world for that matter, that there needs to be one world government so everyone has the same rights recognised.

Americans are free to vote in state elections just as much as federal ones, arguably they have more influence at the state level.

Floisme · 28/09/2025 11:03

Thanks for that article @Igneococcus Several interesting points but this section about the reaction to the 'Kamala Is for They/Them. President Trump Is for You”' advert stood out for me:

'Harris’s team agreed that the advert was devastating and taped a number of proposed responses but none of them tested that well so she left it. Reflecting on it in the book, Harris said: “I wish I could have gotten the message across that there isn’t a distinction between ‘they/them’ and ‘you’. The pronoun that matters is ‘we’.”

Harris (and I suspect, most of her party) still don't seem to have grasped that the reason that advert was so effective wasn't simply because of clever word play but because it also said something about the Democrat Party that resonated with voters. Trying to respond with a clever riposte was never, ever going to work.

It really alarms me how totally clueless they seem to be. The only sign of basic awareness I've seen has been from Jonah Wheeler in The House of Representatives.

This isn’t an argument I made, this is how the political landscape is in America at this time. I wasn’t arguing for one world government, I was arguing for the exact opposite. In the US there are two major parties from which Americans choose (Dem and Republican) from and this is how it is at the federal and state level. While there are Independents, and you can chose to vote Independent, most vote Dem of Repub so Americans are stuck in a two party system with no viable third choice that isn’t an extreme of Left or Right.

Years ago, when West Eing was really popular, a few of my roommates adored it. I could never stand it because the way the characters were constantly just trying to spin things without thinking about the substance drove me nits.

I suspect it's accurate about that class of people though.

You've put it better than the article did.

President Trump is not for anyone but himself - but the people who voted for him certainly believed that Harris was more about luxury beliefs than the boring old proles who still think men shouldn't be in women's sports.

They need to change the substance, not the style - but they still can't see it.

If AOC is their next candidate I suspect they'll get shellacked again; she's essentially a younger, prettier Corbyn.

Newsom would possibly manage it, but the blue-haired activists hate him more than they do Trump.

Grammarnut · 29/09/2025 16:13

I agree with the concerns expressed by parents and players that we have to take into account biological factors such as muscle mass and unfair athletic advantage when we determine who plays on which teams, especially in contact sports
She isn't actually saying that men should not compete in women's sports. It's weasly, suggesting that we can accommodate everyone if we take into account body mass and unfair advantage. But taking those into account will allow men in, not prohibit them.
