As I stated before many times, the current trans panic doesn't just hurt trans people, it disproportionately hurts cis-gender women. More and more the 'gender critical' movement aligns itself with the anti-gender movement and patriarchy.

What’s a cis-gender woman?

HarrietofFire · 15/08/2025 01:57

There is no trans panic. There are no ‘cis’ women. There isn’t a gender critical movement. Women just don’t want men in their single sex spaces. Ends.

MyAmpleSheep · 15/08/2025 02:04

Anti-gender movement? Sign me up. Nothing could be less patriarchal than trying to rid the world of gendered things.

PyongyangKipperbang · 15/08/2025 02:10

Do NOT refer to me as cis.

If I cant define someone else, they cannot define me.

This is a hill I am more than prepared to die on.

Could you maybe provide a bit more written information about the thing that
never happens, happend again, instead of linking to a youtube video?

DragonRunor · 15/08/2025 05:55

…. A very long ‘clip’ which starts out by suggesting that black women (example Michelle Obama) are less feminine than white women and moves swiftly to how single sex ‘bathrooms and sport’ are really bad because they would require genital examination. I didn’t get any further

Namelessnelly · 15/08/2025 05:58

Is this another thread where our buzzy friend plops a random, vague post, never posts on the thread again but flits off to Reddit to discuss how the mean mummies won’t listen to him?

Helleofabore · 15/08/2025 06:07

It happened in the USA. For those who don’t want to click a YouTube link, here is an NBC link

www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna224562

”Gerika Mudra, 18, went to dinner in April with a friend in Owatonna, about an hour south of Minneapolis. When she went to the restroom, a server followed her inside and banged on the stall door while saying: “This is a women’s restroom. The man needs to get out of here,” according to Gender Justice, a Minnesota gender-equality organization that filed the charge on Mudra’s behalf.“

The Buffalo Wild Wings staff member likely didn’t handle it well initially. Particularly as this could have been a child still. The article goes on to say.

”Mudra said she felt she had to prove to the server that she is a woman, so she unzipped her hoodie to show she has breasts. The server didn’t say anything in response but left the restroom, Mudra said.

I would suggest that the server did not want this person to be showing body parts, but some kind of ID.

All this ludicrous hyperbolic ‘genital inspection’ discussion has likely influenced young people to think when asked that they should do this. That is where the overly dramatic and catastrophised sound bite being repeated over and over gets society.

Certainly, the staff at that outlet need training on appropriate ways to deal with this.

Throughout history when female people have had sex segregated toilets, we have had some female people being asked if they were in the correct toilet for them. I have been. And others have been. It rarely happened though.

But it did happen, and to some it happened more than once. When we answered questions, our voices gave assurance when needed and I don’t believe there were more than a few very rare instances where we were removed from the single sex space.

However, imagine if no male person ever sought to access any female single sex space. That male people all respected the needs of female single sex provisions and simply used or found another alternative.

Tell us BeeS Again. What is it exactly that you think this incident proves?

Because to me, it proves that a movement that supports male people using female single sex spaces and using overly dramatic phrases such as ‘genital inspections’ has had a significant negative impact on female people. The ‘patriarchy’ = male people who won’t agree that they should all now stay out knowing that it may likely cause female people distress.

I do not think this incident shows quite what you think it does. So crack on posting them. The collection of incidents of the significant negative impacts on female people of your own demands needs to be done and I thank you for publicising it widely.

Helleofabore · 15/08/2025 06:10

Just use the male toilets rather than trying to emotionally manipulate female people into accepting you into their single sex spaces.

Emma Vigeland might one day understand just how much she personally contributed to the degradation of female single sex provision. What her position has meant is that the majority report is anti-science when faced with this particular issue.

If the majority report cannot report with integrity on issues relating to this topic and follow the science, why would anyone trust them at all?

Lol.
Another post from an obsessive OP who spends so much time in the early hours of the morning, trying to persuade adult women on Mumsnet that we should serve up our undressed bodies and those of our daughters to genitally obsessed men desperate to erode boundaries about safeguarding and privacy.

No.

Igneococcus · 15/08/2025 06:31

I've said it before: if it takes providing ID before I can enter a toilet/bathroom/changing room I'm willing to do this if it helps make these spaces guaranteed female only. And I will always remember (and loudly announce) that it's because of TRAs that we are in a situation like this.

Helleofabore · 15/08/2025 06:36

It doesn’t even make sense that unzipping a hoodie would prove being female though. This is how convoluted it has all got.

I once overheard a post op male who had his penis flayed to create a cavity in his groin tell his friends he dropped his gym wear and showed a female gym manager that he was just as much female as she was when she asked him to stop using the female change room after complaints from female gym users and use a neutral space instead. He spoke all about his sexual harassment… completely devoid of understanding the fact that if he did indeed do as he said, he would have just committed significant sexual harassment towards the gym manager.

People asking whether you are in the right space don’t want to be shown body parts. This entire mess could have been avoided if some
arrogant male doctors right at the beginning didn’t think that they had some right to tell men that they could use female single sex spaces. And if governments didn’t forget safeguarding needs in their hurry to allow changes to sex category on identification

Katkins17 · 15/08/2025 07:14

Calling a woman by a name that’s not wanted is violence….I'm not cis…I don’t need a pronoun, so stop using it…

see how it works ?..

If your demand for pronouns isn’t adhered too, you get all ‘toys outta the pram’ sulky and have a tantrum…. Women have said over and over NOT to call us ‘Cis’ as it’s an unrequired pronoun, so just stop forcing it on us.

Apart from that….everything else you wrote has just be discounted.

ArmchairXpert · 15/08/2025 07:21

Ah, it's you again.

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 15/08/2025 07:24

lol, was about to bite then saw who it was. 👋

Nagginthenag · 15/08/2025 07:32

None of this would be happening if transwomen hadn't been so insistent about their right to be in female spaces. If you're looking for someone to blame for this, start with TRAs and transwomen.

Igmum · 15/08/2025 09:10

I’m a tall, short haired woman who wears trousers, trainers and no make up. I’ve never been challenged going to the toilet. If I were, I would say ‘actually I am a woman’ and that would be the end of the story. - Well, until our buzzy plopper took me up as an international cause.

You're still not allowed in the ladies, Bee. Stay in the gents.

thirdfiddle · 15/08/2025 09:41

It's been pointed out before, but a woman not conforming to feminine stereotypes doesn't remotely resemble a man conforming to feminine stereotypes. They're kind of opposite. So I do wonder what anyone's trying to prove here.

What's the endgame, unisex loos only? The public don't want it.

So racism followed by transphobia (implying that trans-identifying people are not decent human beings who will follow social conventions and rules which say that they should stay out of places which are for the opposite sex).
