Wasn't sure whether to put this in S&B or here

You know how adamant a lot of S&B regulars are that wedding guests mustn't wear white, mustn't wear anything that looks like a wedding dress, mustn't do anything to overshadow the bride? Well, this bride's brother and mother didn't get the memo. The mother bought the dress, apparently. Awkward Christmas in prospect in this family, I'd imagine.

Well there's one thing, there won't be many at that wedding that don't realise what a selfish, attention seeking prick he is....

None of whom called him out on his behaviour because they were so horrified that they were too uncomfortable even to acknowledge it, so did the British thing of pretending there was nothing-to-see-here. Or they didn't want to spoil the bride's day by making a fuss, knowing full well that he would kick off. With the result that he thinks he passed. Or that he thinks they approved of his twatbadgering mindfuckery.

I wonder, which would the bride have preferred: let's pretend nothing's wrong, or let's hold the bride back until we've kicked the little prick out?

didgeridid · 12/08/2025 21:07

My step MIL wore white 🤣 there's a pic of her next to me and it's ridiculous. Luckily I saw it as " she looks like the dick head" so saw the funny side 🤣

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 12/08/2025 21:12

The brother is just a mean entitled narcissistic toe rag.
How could you do that to anyone on their wedding day especially to another family member.

TheUnusuallyQuerulentMxLauraBrown · 12/08/2025 21:21

The BBC must be relieved to have found a suitable understudy for when Walliams finally gets Me Tooed.

I was so sure these photos must be photoshopped as, to my eyes, the lighting looked a bit off but chatGPT says there's no evidence of that and the lighting and "noise" is consistent (I used the photo of the husband and the brother). It's unbelievably shocking that anyone would think that was an appropriate get up to wear to someone else's wedding. Especially that kind of wedding - it's clearly not an American black or white tie ball style event.

MoltenLasagne · 13/08/2025 05:58

What an absolute arse, and the mother too for enabling it. I actually didn't believe it until I watched the TikTok from the bride.

The looks on both their faces.

It almost begs for a caption competition.

Groom thinking: God what have i done?!

I still have a suspicion it’s all set up for clicks. No-one is THAT pantomime villain, surely?

From all the stories I have read and what other women tell about TiMs on this forum and their behaviour, I find it very very easy to believe that he did do this to his sister. Narcissistic arsehole.

Well yes, and that’s why it would make a great hoax. Like when someone made up a rumour that “gammons” in yellow vests were protesting the Gregg’s over the then-new vegan “sausage” roll. I saw that tear through lefty Twitter before anyone stopped to fact-check it.

I also thought that (after initially thinking it must be photoshopped and then chat GPT being very sure it's not). I don't think so though because if you look at the brides tiktok she hasn't posted about this straight away. She's shared other photos of her, her husband and kids and normally dressed guests. It's only a while later that she shares the story of her brother. And from what she says it sounds like he had been slagging her off on social media whereas she'd originally just tried to ignore the whole thing.

MagicSexEssence · 13/08/2025 08:57

I think someone on Reddit linked to the brothers Instagram but it was deleted by moderators.

RayonSunrise · 13/08/2025 08:57

Thanks @MagicSexEssence- any due diligence on this is appreciated!

Motherfluffers · 13/08/2025 09:23

I’ve heard of some bad family members’ wedding behaviour before but this is off the charts (and deeply unflattering, and psychologically Red Flagged all over)
Poor bride. I hope her DH family are lovely.

Overtheatlantic · 13/08/2025 09:33

The actual bride looks so lovely.

Igmum · 13/08/2025 09:38

The only positive thing about this is that we’ve finally found an issue on which not even Reddit agrees with the TiM.

Agree he’s a narcissist. From her TikTok videos she knew he was going to be in a dress but not this and didn’t want to make a fuss. Her own wedding day TikTok doesn’t include her CF brother (not sure if it has mum). I always think of myself as not overly concerned with appearances but if someone did this to me I definitely wouldn’t be speaking to them - mum or brother.

lcakethereforeIam · 13/08/2025 10:42

Such a cheap looking and fugly dress too, like the 'what i got' order from Shein. The actual bride and groom look lovely together. I hope they'll have a long and happy marriage.

TrainedByCats · 13/08/2025 11:58

The dress looks like a (massively) scaled up version of a girls princess dress up dress

SprayWhiteDung · 13/08/2025 12:25

I'm pretty sure even Howard Keel and the other six blokes never played the brides AND the brothers.

"No-one is THAT pantomime villain, surely?" is a phrase that could apply to almost every single aspect of trans ideology

Seems unlikely if they did not have the sense to ban the paraphilic brother from the wedding

Theswiveleyeballsinthesky · 11/08/2025 20:32

Christ! That poor girl - on her own fucking wedding day. I'd be tempted to cut the pair of them off

Are you talk about the brother and mother, or was it another "pair" that you were thinking of surgically removing?

Overtheatlantic · 13/08/2025 09:33

The actual bride looks so lovely.

Yes I love how her dress is so simply yet well cut and pretty, and her beautiful flowers - it has the effect of showing up the brother’s outfit as even more of a trashy style-less polyester wreck.
