The Guardian:
"Transgender woman treated as ‘hostile invader’ when joining women-only app Giggle for Girls, court hears"

Let's rephrase that:
"Man treated as ‘hostile invader’ when joining women-only app Giggle for Girls, court hears"

I know there's whole threads on Giggle vs. Tickle but this headline just caught my eye.

I was going to say the same thing, he's a man invading a womans space, what's not hostile about that.

The Guardian headline got it right for a change, although probably not for the reasons they think. 😂

Well, according to the Australian Human Rights Commission and Equalities Australia, it's a woman who has the misfortune to look male which is part of her protected characteristic of being a trans woman, so it's actually highly discriminatory to treat such an individual as male especially if they are wearing a purple v neck top and have shoulder length hair.

I'm wondering why the Guardian are covering this but not the Peggie tribunal

Or, indeed (from what I can see) the trans met police officer accused of the rape of a little girl that’s on the other news websites today.

Selective news reporting to suit your activist agenda is a real issue because most guardian readers then assume there is no issue with trans women in women’s spaces. Why would they? Apart from Isla Bryson, they have never read about this happening. Isla bumba in fact said as much while giving evidence in the Sandie Peggie case. Whereas, in fact, as we know, the court cases that ‘never happen’ have been going on for years.

ultimately, it stops a lot of us reading or trusting the guardian on any issue.
