Kinda weird to see the DM of all papers mention one of the 'gender critical' losses for a change, though credit for them labelling any trans person just getting on with their lives as a 'trans activist' and their very flexible opinions on free speech.

Bee wanted to wait til it got into the Daily Mail which Bee never reads (obvs)

eatfigs · 07/07/2025 16:15

The tribunal case may have been lost, but:

As a result of her complaints the Met carried out a review of the event which made eight recommendations, including one about engaging with gender critical staff.

It led to the force establishing the Gender Critical Network.

Trans ideology is on the way out.

murasaki · 07/07/2025 17:45

I thought the mail wasn't a valid source, Bee?

teawamutu · 07/07/2025 17:58

Which other 'gender critical losses' have been ignored? Always keen to keep up so do link them, Butters.

Thanks for posting. This Tribunal was a loss because the speakers at the event were not considered employees and the event was not during working hours. Therefore Eva Echo's hate speech was deemed not be sanctioned by or carried out on behalf of the Met.

I'd say that's a technicality loss but a moral victory - the Met has had to explain why they were hosting an event with speakers who consider sex realist views (held by the vast majority of the UK public) branded 'twisted and warped'.

So it hasn't half attracted a lot of attention about who is advising the Met and its very embarrassing for them. It has also resulted in an internal review and changes to their consultation panels. The Tribunal may not have been a "win" but it has been fantastic to encourage debate and discussion about activism and the erosion of "no fear or favour" in the police. Well done to all concerned.

Dreary, I've been dealing with anti-trans activists for yeears, you'll really have to try harder than that. Having said that I am amused by the idea that people who spends most of their free time searching for the next thing to feed their outrage obsession, have suddenly lost the ability to use search engines.

Also, turned out that the police woman in the story has a long history of anti-trans activism. I sure am glad that my money is being wasted defending against this and that the police are hiring people of such obviously poor character.

From the article:
"It was heard the event was held to increase awareness around trans rights for Met Police officers following the Baroness Casey Review into the Met's culture and standards of behaviour, following the 2021 murder of Sarah Everard by a serving Met officer.
The tribunal heard there was 'a perceived absence of any reference to issues relevant to the trans community in the report that followed the review' in 2023."

Is there no issue that TRAs won't hijack for their own benefit? A woman is brutally murdered by a police officer and the trans cry why aren't you talking about us? Wah wah wah

IllustratedDictionaryOfTheDoldrums · 08/07/2025 07:34

Ah yes, "anti-trans activism" aka believing that female people also have human rights. We need more people like that in the police.
Good for her for taking on the notoriously sexist Met for yet more of their sexism. Pity she didn't win but at least it got more sunlight on the issue.

Shortshriftandlethal · 08/07/2025 07:49

More narcissistic bleating. The covid lockdown really set back what was already a fragile generation, beset by anxiety and self loathing, and increasingly unable to cope with the rigours of adult life and reality.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 08/07/2025 08:01

That was a fascinating tribunal - it brilliantly exposed the type of people they've been funding with public money and enabling them to influence policy. You could hear the growing realisation of the senior Met officers that they were in fact pushing a niche, anti social "political" view and had hosted a range of speakers with vile attitudes to women and free speech. Ironic in the face of their public persona of caring about VAWG.

I suspect that (to the wails of anti women activists) there will be far fewer, if any, of these events in the future. More public scrutiny resulting the transactivists in the Met finding fewer opportunities to display their fetishes and anti women rhetoric.

If you knew how to use a search engine you’d have seen the other MN thread specifically about the judgment 🤷‍♀️

"Dreary"

Was that a misspelt attempt to patronise Tea?
Maybe, Bee is trying to present as a 'granny' stereotype and is trying out their idea of granny-speak?
Perhaps, it is spelt correctly and Bee thinks that women are boring and dull?

I think he's trying to distract from his complete failure to provide the claimed other cases.

Nice try, bud. Failed though.

This is untrue. The Casey Review was published on 21st March 2023 & the TDOV was held on 31st March 2023. The Met did not commission & organise their Transexual Love Festival in just ten days.

The setting up of the GC Network is an excellent development and one which would have been unthinkable a couple of years ago.

Oh wow OP, I don't think this thread went well for you.

Very informative information from all the other posters though which is fab for lurkers.

Thanks!

Ramblingnamechanger · 08/07/2025 09:57

Well we have been dealing with trans activists on here for years, and it is really dreary seeing them trying to justify their delusional and dangerous ideas. You would have thought that they could try to make their case by now. But it’s just same old bleating .

It comes across that your contempt for women who stand up to misogyny just shines through this post. True colours duly noted.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 08/07/2025 17:24

yes but not successfully dearie

and you misspelled pro women’s activists

TheOtherRaven · 08/07/2025 17:31

Pro women even is a bit of an exaggeration: it's more just women wanting basic equality of considerations, freedoms of speech and thought, and access to resources.

You've got to have a fairly major problem with women to take issue with that.
