A judgement was handed down in the Newman v Metropolitan Police case today.
Newman, a serving Met Police officer with gender-critical beliefs, submitted a complaint after a Met TDOV event that featured Eva Echo that Newman attended online, at home, and off-duty.
Newman argued it (and in particular, the response of the audience to discussion of Posie Parker) was indicative of hostility in the workplace towards her gender-critical beliefs.
She submitted claims under direct discrimination because of protected belief and harassment related to protected belief.
The court rejected those claims.
