Amazing the number of grown men who would like to have children sterilised, keep them with pre-pubescent genitals and mentally immature, but chronologically above the legal age of consent.

Wes Streeting is not alone, the governments in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, The Netherlands, Belgium and more, have all decided to stop medical experiments being preformed on the children of their nations too.

I see we have another poster over interested in the sterilisation of children. They're increasingly rare round here but it's always (marginally) interesting to see that they use the same old tropes, discredited research and arguments to try to influence women out of safeguarding children.

Yes, one wonders what their motives could be.

It doesn’t matter what the BMA thinks of the Cass Review. They have little power for their primary job, negotiating pay for its members, let alone anything else, so their acceptance or non-acceptance of something that has happened and resulted in Wes Streeting implementing changes last year is completely irrelevant. All it demonstrates is if they’re batshit or not batshit.

I think it was something like 70 members at the top of the BMA hierarchy who voted, no vote was given to the other ~190k members.

attempts to debate the bma cass review silliness have been stifled by the upper ranks.

I left the BMA prior to this whole debacle and won’t be joining again.

They recently emailed me a survey asking for my opinion of the BMA. “Embarassing and misogynistic” was my reply.

i honestly believe in the not too distant future we’re going to have a lot of young adults making claims against those who allowed them at an impressionable age to basically fuck up their bodies with blockers and breast binding and such like

young women missing smears because they are now ‘boys’

parents of these kids defend it to the hilt as let’s face it there’s no going back

That testimony is pretty damning. Sounds as though the fragrant Dr is more concerned with furthering her lucrative career as an “ expert witness” than undertaking any clinical or research work with unhappy young people.

You've missed the joke- TRAs love to tell anyone who stands still long enough that sex isn't a binary, because clownfish can change sex. Then they stick their fingers in their ears and go, "LALALA!" before anyone can point out that humans, unlike clownfish, are not sequential hermaphrodites.

Surely the absolute best way to debunk the Cass review is to release the adult data showing all the wonderful success stories? Anyone got a link to that data?

The BMA used to be a highly respected organisation, which I’d expect. I am stunned by its behaviour over the past few years, showing absolute lack of concern for children or for medical ethics, in deference to a destructive ideology.

I feel very much less automatic respect for doctors now.
