Our enthusiastic team of gerbil waitstaff is ably supported by capybaras, quokkas, and other charming creatures who excel at their jobs while looking outrageously adorable.

You will find many things to laugh at - usually out loud - so take care not to spit out your tea. We are considering a petition for the return of the laugh emoji - just as soon as the AI gerbils learn how to spell.

Oooh Errol, swimming against the tide! I must concede you have a point, though. The laugh emoji isn't seen by all the visitors to the thread, only the person to whom it is sent. I have never really understood that. There's been talk of a pile on and sarcasm but I am beginning to lean towards the view that the 😆 is just a bit lazy and the reason I miss it is possibly because I have to actually write something and make an effort 😄

Crochet cakes! I made the mistake of calling them " knitted cakes" and was instantly corrected.

Gosh, they look good enough to eat!

Crocheters are very touchy about that sort of thing. Never call a crochet hook a needle, either.😂

Also, reminded by the programme on the radio today about the new head of MI6, I can say with fingers uncrossed that no tutor tried to recruit me when I was a student.

It is so glorious to see the beautiful woolly squares Bluestockingers are making to show their love and support for Swashy. 💙

Played around with some textured squares. I think they're a bit smaller than the bigger knitted squares but I will stretch them when I put them together.

There are mistakes but nothing drastic.

I was meant to write a presentation today for Monday, but knitted all day while watching Outrageous on U. It is very good.

Hellooo everybody just caught up after a particularly testing day.

Sadly hedgehogs cannot knit, casting on and off is very difficult as just one little flick of the yarn can get me in terrible trouble.

I’ve finished my blue sock to symbolise the Blue Stocking. It looks a bit shit here but hopefully will be ok when the st-st stretches out. I’ve a couple of plain ones and will do another couple before sending them off.

But...but all those needles!
