DD(15) wants to go to Pride London.

AIBU to advise strongly against? My sense is it’s not a family-friendly event these days.

And I haven't ever said there are no fetishes present at Pride.

Why are there any fetishes?

The issue of pride and whether it's family friendly comes up all the time, regularly. Giant cocks, furries, naked arses, adult babies, these pictures get posted every year. One time we saw leather pups with butt plug tails inviting children to play in their ball pool.

It's the normalisation of fetish in a public place, that's the issue. Not exactly how many men are displaying one.

Why does pride in being gay involve public fetish display, at all?

And who the fuck would ever think it was family friendly? And yes, I'm including a 15-year-old girl in that.

You've only got to look at a poster on this very thread saying well she should see naked bodies, she'll be having sex soon.

I mean its literally a continuous shot of the parade from start to finish.

No manipulation involved. This is proper moon landing was fake level delusion now.

Apologies…for not responding yesterday.

The video you suggest is a ‘continuous start to finish’ shot of the parade is 4 hours long but the Parade lasted 6 hours so somewhere there’s 2 whole hours missing 🤔.

Pride, like drag shows or burlesque, should be adults only. Unless you're happy explaining what a 'will fist on the 1st date' tshirt means.

Not everything is for everyone. Not everything can or should be made family friendly.

So the standard of evidence now on this forum is that if I post a photo and claim it was at, say, a gender critical event, it's on you to prove me wrong, rather than me to prove my claim is correct?

Is that really the standard you want to accept?

As for 'personal accounts' - personal accounts from anonymous users on a forum notorious for its anti LGBT views, versus an actual literal end to end video of the full Pride parade.

And I haven't ever said there are no fetishes present at Pride. I have said that claims that this represents a significant proportion of Pride is absolute nonsense. As proven by the video.
