Bristol Women's Voice - not for women!

Someone I know has written this article, which is a shocking account of the dire situation in Bristol for women.

She cleverly points out the situation that led to the For Women Scotland case is happening in Bristol:

"policy makers and activists who tell each other what they need to hear to keep the funding rolling in"

A charity called Bristol Women's Voice, funded by the Council, is refusing to tackle the council's unlawful policies:

Following the Supreme Court ruling that humans can’t change sex, Bristol City Council needs to rewrite any policy which grants men access to women’s single-sex spaces and services. We asked Taylor if she would commit BWV to urging the council to do so in order to end this unlawful discrimination against women. She declined.

Although I am not in Bristol and I think most women through FWR and other feminist communities are well aware of their policies.

This is common across the UK. Whether you blame local councils for enforcing this TWAW position as a funding condition, or that they chose to only fund groups that already had these TWAW beliefs, this is where we are now.

So what is the best use of the time and energy for women who want their sex based views listened to.

Try and fight the existing structure.

Or like LGB Alliance set up an alternative voice for women.

Even prior to the Supreme Court ruling the Forstater case made it clear that those with sex based rights beliefs have to be treated equallly as those who think you can change sex.

So every time the Council or BWV tries to silence those beliefs they need to be exposed.

In fact didn't Bristol Council have to back track at one of the IWD events where BWV tried to ban women with gender critical veiws.

Isn't this partly what WRN is trying to do.

It would be really great to see these initiatives happening in every area.

Ah Bristol! The Brighton of the south west with a heavily Green council. They’ll have to be dragged kicking & screaming.

I’m just south of Bristol and terrified my LA will do something similar, so I’m keeping a close eye on them.

Btw, please thank whoever wrote this excellent article! And I think kudos should be given to the publishers, too! Bristol is a frightening place to be right now with these views and many people I know there keep quiet about it, for fear of losing jobs or customers.😔
