Buchenwald housed Jews, Poles, and other Slavs, the mentally ill, and physically disabled, political prisoners, Roma, Freemasons, and prisoners of war. There were also ordinary criminals and those perceived as sexual deviants by the Nazi regime. It was by no means exclusively or even majorly an LGBT camp, nor was it the only camp LGBT prisoners were sent to. To pretend otherwise is dishonest.

Homosexuals. The Nazis didn't have an issue with 'trans' just with same-sex attracted people. And mainly with men, at that.

Any reference to the horrors of WW2 in this context is completely inappropriate and absolutely gross. My Nana's kid brother was a Japanese POW. He survived liberation but died (aged 26) a couple of years later - as did thousands of other British former Japanese POWs - due to the effects of starvation, random vicious beatings and arduous forced labour. Just want to call out the forced T teaming here - this makes as much sense as saying Auschwitz is where they sent the JT prisoners, and is just as distasteful.

Obviously the glomming onto LGB isn't primarily due to this, but the chance for the T to glom onto WWII atrocities they were never targetted for is too juicy to pass up. Victimhood is a currency.
