Rory and Alastair have deigned to discuss the ruling in their podcast… it would be great to see some more GC comments underneath this episode….

Never understood how anyone could stand listening to those two, arrogant, self-important twats mansplaining anything in the first place!

I also stopped listening to TRIP a while back. For much the same reasons as a lot of you. Huge blindspots in their analysis and AC is stuck in 1997. The bloody sainted Tony the touchstone for everything. TRIP US is much more entertaining. I still listen to Leading sometimes though.

Also don't listen to the news agents any more, gave up on that around the time of those far right riots. Terrible analysis and Jon Sopel got on my tits.

Glad to read this thread. Just listened to the episode this morning and was seething at AC’s refusal to try to understand women’s concerns at all. Off to read the Suzanne Moore article - thanks for sharing.

'I now listen to The Rest is Politics USA, and The News Agents.'

The News Agents episode about the judgement was really disappointing - Jon and Lewis honking on about how it affects only a tiny minority of people, and Emily not challenging them on that

Do TRIP USA discuss gender ideology at all?

Re TRIP US, they’ve not discussed it per se but it has come up in conversation where Mooch has said the fixation on identity politics by the Dems was a major factor in them losing the election.

I've just listened to the latest Double Jeopardy podcast, it was really good - Karon Monaghan KC was the guest and the discussion was a really clear explanation of the SC decision, especially spelling out the impact on lesbians.

I stopped subscribing a few months ago. I did laugh at someone describing Rory as ‘Florence of Belgravia’. He’s certainly becoming more pompous as he ages.

I now listen to The Rest is Politics USA, and The News Agents.

The blokes on The New Agents commenting on the ruling didnt exactly cover themselves in glory either .

Really disappointing, they didn’t bother to think through the challenge that self ID poses to policy making when people can say “I am in this [protected class] because I say I am”. Likewise they completely overlook the string of employment tribunals where women have been forced out for saying what Rory is proposing (or less!). I wonder if he will get pushback at Yale now he’s outed as a TERF. AC saying he’s got his opinion from family and friends was terrible! As if he’d say that about any other public policy issue.
