The ONS have published a Report looking at: The changing composition of families over time, comparing the fertility of women of the same age and the number of children they have had.

Though the projections are not surprising it’s an interesting piece of research - & important to note that the report itself AND media coverage of it discuss women & girls. No “pregnant people”; no mention of “AFAB”: no dehumanisation via reduction to reproductive organs… Obviously that’s absolutely as it should be, but having now had years of consistent language-mangling, it stands out. Perhaps we may hope the absolute hames that the ONS made of the 2021 Census taught them the importance of accurately gathering data that can be disaggregated by sex…
