What defines a woman?

ThisPinkWyvern · 10/03/2025 11:18

What is the biological characteristic shared by all women that differentiates them from men?

OP posts:

I'm not quite sure what meaning to infer from your list, but I hope you are not putting people with DSDs in the same category as sodding clownfish and mushrooms.

Perhaps this was meant as a list for a game of "thread bingo"?

It's the ability to put a damp towel on a hook / towel rack rather than on the bed or floor.
It's the only thing that separates us from men.

Damm I'm male, can I have my payrise now

Plus the AGP smirk.

ETA - how could I forget the trans euphoria boner.

Edited

OMG yes, the fucking smirk. 😠"Well my papers say I'm a woman and I'm definitely made of biological stuff, so I think I am a biological woman..." smirk, smirk.

I still feel slightly nauseous when I recall sitting next to a trans-woman on the tube as they considered how to improve their orgasm (it was on a list of notes on their phone).

Yes, that would make sense. As I say, I couldn't tell as there was no context.

IllustratedDictionaryOfTheDoldrums · 10/03/2025 13:33

Funny, isn't it? Throughout human history, human beings across cultures and time have all managed to understand the difference between male and female.
Now, suddenly, some people apparently just cannot work it out. What utter nonsense.
OP knows what the difference is, so does every other person on this thread. Pretending it's suddenly deeply confusing is just silly. We all know.

coldcallerbaiter · 10/03/2025 13:34

We need to step away from their game of defining. Cosmetic surgery and clothing does not maketh a woman. This was never a question in the past. Even a little child inherently knows, even if they cannot articulate it and have no medical knowledge. These things are the literal basic fundamentals of life on our plant for every species. We have way more important things to worry about and need to stand firm, laugh at the nonsense and not give up womens rights, because they belong to women.

All the lovely trans-women,
Where do they all come from?

Err... I think that with current medical technology, "The almost universal criteria used historically to identify the biological sex of an individual at birth is the presence or lack of a penis" is really very misinformed thinking.

It's the usual hopelessly male centred bollocks. They really can't help themselves.

No. Have to centre the mighty peen!

I notice in the other thread by the OP, it's 34 pages long, with 838 replies, 2 of which are from the OP. This is a pump and dump poster.

If you can answer me that first I'll try really hard to answer yours. Deal?

Why stick to biological sex? Why can’t we claim a different bio age? Grey wig, I want my pension now please.

Species is different, I will go and run with the tigers in the forest, they won’t notice as I tattooed stripes and grafted a tail.

Some transwomen have thie penis cut up, inverted and made into a pouch in their nether-regions that they need to dilate to keep open. They still have their penis as it still exists.

As we are doing songs, I am now thinking of 'Poor butchered penis' (poor butch-ered-pen-is) which should be sung to this tune -

Thats the bingo card freebies for the what is a woman question.

Since the Gender Critical Movement's ideology declares that sex is binary - there is no spectrum- an individual without a penis and outer female genitals is by default designated female. A post op transgender woman is categorised as female therefore using the same criteria that categorised her as male at birth.

This ^ type of gotcha and the idea that humans dont come in 1of 2 class therefore are hard to sex.

theressomanytinafeysicouldbe · 10/03/2025 13:47

Women have an organ which can grow a whole human. Women have a different anatomy to men which allows them to carry, birth and feed said human.

This is very true. Just because a male has their penis flayed, inverted and reinserted as an artificial cavity in their groin doesn’t mean it is no longer a penis.

Why do you think there is one characteristic that separates females from males?

Because there is at least one and it involves gametes.

It's the only thing that separates us from men.

So I'm a woman? I don't think you've got that quite right. Few women would want me in women's spaces, and I wouldn't want to push into those spaces, or even to be invited in.

Grammarnut · 10/03/2025 13:55

AnSolas · 10/03/2025 11:48

Clownfish
Coral
Fungi
Mushroom
Intersex
DSD
Women are people too.

Being girls who survived into adulthood

I don't understand the list. If it's a lsit of creatures where sex is either hermaphrodyte or can be changed then DSDs don't belong in it as DSDs are sex-specific. Also, if it is, you missed out worms.

ThisPinkWyvern · 10/03/2025 11:18

Question is invalid. Women are adult females and men are adult males (girls/boys for children). It should be what biological characteristics do all females have that differentiates them from males. As a clue the ability to give birth (and all associated biology) is female, males cannot do this.

FlowchartRequired · 10/03/2025 14:00

Just to clarify things for Wyvern, a post-op transwoman will also have had a orchiectomy, AKA castration*. If you (general you, not picking on anyone specific) have been castrated, it rather proves that you are male as only a male can be castrated.

As mammals cannot change sex, a male person who has been castrated remains male just as every castrated male dog/cat/sheep/horse/other mammal does.

*Removing 'neuctcals' (or whatever the human version is called) from a transman (biological female who identified as male) who is now detransitioning is not the same thing. They are female and remain female what ever identity they have or don't have (see point above about mammals not changing sex)
