I agree that it's concerning that Louise had spent any significant period of time in a relationship with Kyle Clifford, as I would guess that she and her family must have known that his older brother was a violent murderer who was in prison on a long sentence, as well as being concerned about his own behaviour towards her. I wonder why she stayed in the relationship for 18 months and why her parents weren't able to talk her out of it. Apparently Kyle Clifford admired and worshipped his older brother and I remember that he said to someone that killing people was a family thing. He spoke to his brother twice in the 10 days before the murders, telling him that he had bought several weapons. It seems highly probable that his brother knew he was planning a murder (this wasn't expressly spoken about, probably because the men knew that calls from prisoners were recorded). So the brother was a clear influence, in addition to Tate.
