Helen Webberly gave me the absolute chills. I was sitting playing with my baby son wondering how anyone can feel how she does and butcher such young children with chemicals. It’s beyond horrifying.

Seemed positively proud of it.

And was she really maintaining that Child C was a boy even after she detransitioned? Like she knows better than the patient herself?

An interesting interview. I thought Andrew Neil did a good job of it. She got to say plenty but was less than convincing.

What is her sudden reappearance about? Is she promoting the puberty blocker trial, or does she have a book out? 🤔

Gave me the chills too - couldn’t finish it.
She expressed all the usual lines (Cis, he’s a boy not a girl, people with ovaries, people with testicles, PB reversible, thousands and thousands of children !!!) and sounds completely indoctrinated. Bigging up WPATH too. She reminds me of Mrs Coulter from His Dark Materials

I see Kim Leadbetter’s death committee’s most recent idea for the assisted suicide bill is that to take pressure off the NHS deaths could be outsourced to private companies. Perhaps Gender GP will change its name to Death GP and get commissioned?

The weak, sick and vulnerable never cease being cash cows for the profiteers do they? There's always a quid to be made.

Dear god HW is awful. Dismissed all evidence that didn't suit her, kept insisting Child C was a boy even though she was a girl who detransitioned, said Cass was not as good as WPATH! Andrew Neill was good at just continuing to plug away with his questions without getting distracted by her madness

I wonder why she agreed to this interview. She is defending the indefensible and coming out with ridiculous statements, like that a mistake was made at birth - no it wasn't! How could jumping through all these (lucrative) hoops with drugs, surgery etc all be needed to 'fix' things, rather than a course of psychotherapy, or just allowing the child to be gender non conforming? Why do they have to be affirmed in a stereotype?

That's what I don't understand - if gender and sec are different why do transgender people need to access single sex spaces? Surely they need single gender eg gender neutral

Didn't she compare PBs to cancer treatment? But. I thought gender dysphoria wasn't an illness?

Listening to it now. Her impassioned defence of child abuse disgusts me.

Andrew Neil was bloody brilliant. Oh for more journalists like him. Just doing his bloody job, so many don't. And she's insane.

Webberley’s absolute determination throughout the interview to insist on describing Child C as a boy was chilling.

Neil pointing out that she only accepts organisations that agree with her as experts was a good one. Webberley tried to argue that Cass has been criticised by many ‘experts’ as well as by WPATH and therefore wasn’t a valid piece of research - bonkers!.

She’s living on another planet - I can’t make up my mind as to whether she’s a true believer or a sociopath who’s happy to make money from vulnerable people.
