This is a wonderful letter.

I want her to live forever. What a woman!

Don't know how that happened but I do love her 😂

That last paragraph is wonderful!

I mean the whole letter is a hoot, but the last paragraph need to be embroidered on a banner and hung over every women’s public toilet in the country.

People like the Baroness are such an amazing example of why we need a HOL. Not the hereditary ones or those gifted as part of a payoff package for services rendered, but full of people with a lifetime of wisdom and experience ( Note to Boris Johnson this does not mean mid twenties blonde interns who you have the hots for)

It does temper my usual views on the HOL.

I feel cross stitched is more fitting somehow ... Wink

Wow, her letters are always good but I think that's the best so far

alittlebitonthego · 16/10/2024 17:25

Agree! It's taken me a while to read it as the good Baroness blocked me for my potty mouth, sadly Sad

AnnieMcFanny · 16/10/2024 17:37

Fabulous!

Skifflittlefingers · 16/10/2024 20:04

Wonderful. I do hope its intended recipient whithers with embarrassment and shame.

EasternStandard · 16/10/2024 20:09

Gosh she writes well

I love that last paragraph

Skyrainlight · 16/10/2024 20:54

Great letter. I've emailed Butlins to express my desire for women's space to be for the exclusive use of biological women. The trans voices are shouting so loudly about this and I think it's important that Butlins hear the other side too. How intimidating to have FIVE men in the ladies rooms. What the hell is happening to this world.

socialdilemmawhattodo · 16/10/2024 21:21

She is amazing!

BunfightBetty · 16/10/2024 21:32

The woman’s an utter legend 🙌

Mollyollydolly · 16/10/2024 21:45

I love how she uses the word 'lavatory' .. that's an indication you are really really posh! She's a brilliant woman.

ArcheryAnnie · 16/10/2024 21:48

That is priceless.

Catsmere · 16/10/2024 22:03

I read it on Ovarit this morning and hoped I'd see it here, too. Love the "delicate sensibilities" last paragraph.

JellySaurus · 16/10/2024 22:09

I trust that your investigation will consider not just the delicate sensibilities of those who dearly wish they were the sex they aren't, but also the practical and personal needs of those who actually are the sex the others wish they were.

Priceless. The Baroness is an awesome woman.

Skyellaskerry · 17/10/2024 07:00

Everything in that letter is perfect and I agree with others - that last sentence wow!

Retiredfromthere · 17/10/2024 08:08

Perhaps there should be a Collected Letters offered as a Christmas special? Such a gem of a letter.
