Please note the assault was incredibly brutal & it is -rightly - described - in full: I would advise you not read it if eating/drinking or liable to be distressed by the description/images of injuries.

For the benefit of those who (understandably) don’t feel comfortable clicking the link given that:
• a girl was assaulted by a male student on her school bus after going to defend her (female) friend from the student; the bus driver split the students up & contacted the school to get staff to meet them on arrival
• the Principal met the schoolbus & while the 2 girls exited first; he said something 2 the victim that caused her to turn back & complain about the lack of protection for her friend - at which point the male student exited the bus & began a brutal assault that last minutes & was ended by the bus driver’s physical intervention: the Principal did not intervene, despite being allowed & trained to do so
• the girl has been left with serious injuries; the male student has been “identifying as female” for several years & on oestrogen for 2 months; the complaints against them of sexual harrassment at their previous school were so extensive that a group of girls organised a protest over their behaviour, but the school administration dismissed the complaints (a pattern of tug-sweeping we have seen before)

As reported by the Maine Wire. The only other news coverage is the screenshot attached - missing an awful lot of key information.

I saw this the other day, it's absolutely shocking! That poor girl! She said she thought she was going to die and that she would never see her mother again, she must have been so scared.

dementedpixie · 13/10/2024 12:11

I saw photos of the aftermath. Have read that the bus driver has been disciplined for intervening but not sure if that's true

Peridot1 · 13/10/2024 12:14

There were three adults there just watching? Bloody hell.

DoreenonTill8 · 13/10/2024 12:15

Won't be surprised the bus drivers intervention turns into the focus as an attack on a 'poor vulnerable student'....

TheBrickHare · 13/10/2024 12:18

This is absolutely disgusting, those poor girls at that school being forced to pretend that violent boy was like them for so long; probably while fully aware they’d be unprotected by the staff.

The Superintendent has said that the driver’s not been placed on leave as was rumoured, but didn’t comment on whether there was - or would be - an investigation into his conduct. Absolutely shameful, frankly - the man saved that girl from even worse injury if not death while the school Principal stood & watched her being battered. But of course, this never happens.

The Father of the girl was on a radio phone in recently-he said the Head Teacher had suspended his daughter for 5 days and had explicitly told all students to delete any footage they have of it on their phones. Why are schools bending over backwards to protect males with mental health problems? Whilst not seeming to care about the harm that comes to girls...

DeanElderberry · 13/10/2024 13:48

Attacking her eye reminds me of Barbie Kardashian attacking Barbie's social worker in the eye - I'm not sure whether she was permanently blinded. Is it a planned tactic?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/10/2024 13:50

I saw the video the other day. It's horrific.

duc748 · 13/10/2024 13:54

Surely in loco parentis doesn't entitle Heads to browbeat kids into deleting stuff off their phones?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/10/2024 13:58

It's gone viral, it's a bit late for that.

EmpressoftheMundane · 13/10/2024 14:01

Only high profile law suits will fix this.

Emotionalsupportviper · 13/10/2024 20:48

The comment that the school superintendent released said that there was a "fight" between two pupils.

This wasn't a fight. It was a violent, vicious and unprovoked attack- and apparently not the first time that this very large, almost adult male has carried out on much smaller, weaker girls.

NitroNine · 13/10/2024 21:16

Oh be fair @Emotionalsupportviper - the girl intervened to stop her friend getting battered, clearly she should have just not got involved. Like the school principal.

[Quote] Feb, the boy’s conduct while using the girls’ restrooms—which allegedly included peeping at girls, taking cellphone pictures of other students in the restrooms, and even masturbating—prompted roughly 20 Ellsworth High School students to stage a protest.

The student protesters, who included the victim of Friday’s attack, held signs that read, “I should not be afraid to use the bathroom,” “Protect our bodies,” and “No more peeking through the door"

According to a news report from the Ellsworth American, the school administration was hostile to the protesting students, made no changes to school policies, and claimed that the school’s investigation found no evidence that the alleged misconduct ever occurred.

The school even threatened any students who recorded the protest with suspensions, according to the Ellsworth American.

Oh, what the fuck. Come on!

Cailleach1 · 13/10/2024 22:40

You can her him (the assailant) roaring out ‘dumb bitch’ at the end. After the bus driver had intervened to stop him assaulting the girl. She was screaming on foot of the assault, and had screamed ‘you psychopath’ after he had just tried to beat the shit out of her.

The girl was lucky that bus driver was there, and was decent enough to intervene. It didn’t appear that the rather hefty school principal was going to come to the aid of the girl who was getting beating up by a male. Why was he not stopping a girl getting physically assaulted by the lad. Well, one good thing at least, parents of daughters now see how low a priority their safety is to the school. It appears from the article as well that they were just left to be perved on as well, and used as masturbatory aids.

StrongFemaleCharacter · 13/10/2024 23:35

It shouldn't matter whether the girl was being assaulted by a girl, boy or someone trans-identifying - the principal should have intervened when someone is on the floor being brutally attacked. The fact that he didn't is shocking. But not surprising. The poor girl, I hope she can recover from this and the right thing happens regarding her attacker. But it won't - this never happens, right?

WomanXXWorldsOriginsofMothersofAllNations · 13/10/2024 23:57

There’s a lot of information on this Nitter thread, including the film of the attack, but that’s a little way down the thread and won’t auto play so should be ok if you’re interested in more background, and the father of the girl attacked also comments.

The school Principal has since deleted his X account.

I’m so shocked at just how Teflon Trans ID seems to be. Anyone else would have been arrested by now.

duc748 · 14/10/2024 00:42

And rather than that, as has been said before, they're shunted around just like Catholic priests being shifted to another parish.

andIsaid · 14/10/2024 03:20

Is any of this having an impact on the American election?

That poor girl and her family.

Seems like they have lawyers on board - good for them.

I am so shocked at the head teacher - standing there letting that girl get beaten. Extremely upsetting.

Could instructing children to delete videos of a crime happening be a criminal offense?

You are right - the girls both brought it on themselves. The first by sitting on the bus, being female, and the second by being so transphobic that she tried to stop that almost-man attacking her friend instead of cheering him on and offering to hold his coat.

The principal was quite right not to upset that poor boy by stopping him defending himself by retaliating before he was attacked - I'll bet his poor knuckles were raw after giving that nasty little terf a pummelling.

(I do wish we had a sarcastic font, don't you?)

This - 1,000 times this. No adult, especially one in loco parentis, should stand by while a smaller child is being brutalised by a much bigger, stronger one - or even allow it when the contenders are even matched. You just don't encourage violence like this.

What a cowardly POS!

andIsaid · 14/10/2024 13:15

The whole thing is absolutely mad.

The Trans teen being moved from school to school while have a pattern of behavior that shows sexual aggression to females.

That same Trans teen being given access to female toilets.

That same Trans teen, with a proven history of violence against females, being allowed take the bus with females.

The principle getting the bus driver fired - the only adult who stepped in to help.

The principle asking, and the bribing the school attendees to delete the recordings they had of the incident.

Igmum · 14/10/2024 13:20

Yes this is insane. I hope the Police are investigating. This is a criminal offence and the principal is culpable in attempting to conceal it. Those poor girls.
