Well, it won't be a full fledged club - they've just booked a venue with an idea for a club night. They'll have paid a deposit, booked a dj, & run off some flyers.

& if it doesn't work out, the venue just won't accept another booking, because they won't want to deploy staff if the bar take is shit, & they certainly won't want security issues if the clientele happen to be knobs, & they will expect the promoter to pony up the full venue booking fee before re booking.

I was around this sort of nonsense (goths rather than lesblokes) for years - any idiot can have a pop at it, & occasionally the stars align & you've got an ongoing club night on your hands.

I would expect it to tank hard, on the rocks of it being really, really unattractive to actual lesbians, for all the obvious reasons.

But bless them, we should encourage this! ...& then organise terfy events that they definitely won't want to attend because they obvs have their own terf free night, right?

I hope so! But it makes me very sad and angry that things have come to this. I’m old enough to have gone to ‘ladies night’ at gay nightclubs in the early 2000s. It was just women (female!) dancing, drinking and having lots of fun. It felt very freeing and safe. The gay men stayed away, and any straight men who tried to gatecrash with ‘but I’m a lesbian trapped in a male body, har har!’ were laughed at by the bouncers and told to fuck off.
We even had a group of towering drag queens walking by accompany us to the train station to make sure we weren’t harassed or followed! Funnily, they were very clear that they were men who liked performing in drag and would have been appalled to be called TWs.

It's a night for people with or without a penis but not all of them, who fancy people with or without a penis but not all of them.

Look how clear inclusive language has made things, so much better than when words had a clearly understood meaning.

I expect this idea has not come from someone with a head for business. It's not going to be profitable.

It's a good idea, I would love to see the disappointment on their faces when they realise no real women have turned up.

There are gay clubs that have trans nights, but those are for homosexual transsexuals (gay men to trans women) and the heterosexual men attracted to them. So gay men wanting a male partner.

This has clearly been designed by a heterosexual man wanting to date homosexual women. And a heterosexual man who can't hide his hatred in any of his posts.

The good news is his ego and wallet are going to take a massive hit from this flop.

The date on the flyer said 21/09? So where is the crowing about how wonderful this event was.

I expect with enough publicity he will get a good turnout of women who actually are lesbian and women who identify as queer and decide they count as well to claim it's been a resounding success. Plenty of women have formed a social and political identity around solidarity with trans people and sticking it to the TERFS, and I can imagine a lot of #bekind socia pressure to go as well. The lesbians showing solidarity might not be so keen to cop off with a male but I'm sure some of the more flexible queer women will - what better way for a spicy straight to prove her queer bona fides by getting off with not just a woman (so lesbian!) but a transwoman? (So Inclusive! so Proud! Living my values!)

I antiplcipate many social media posts of a full club with lots of people snogging.

The fact that some lesbians (claim to) see trans women as women sexually does not mean all lesbians see trans women as women sexually, and regardless of how well this event does or doesn't go, the latter group should have their desire to have male free events understood and respected without protest and agression from men who believe their sexist ideas about "womanhood" entitle them to decide who it acceptable for women to reject and why.
