'A trans woman has been jailed for six and a half years after being found guilty of rape following a night out.
Lexi Secker raped a woman in Blunsdon, Wiltshire, on 23 April 2023. The attack took place before Secker began identifying as a woman.
The attack took place in secluded woods after the pair took a walk "under the pretence of sobering up".
Secker, 35, of Lowbourne, near Melksham, has been ordered to carry out her sentence in a male prison and will remain on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
Throughout the sentencing hearing, barristers and the judge referred to the defendant as "Ms Secker" and "she".
However, in a victim personal statement, the woman raped by Secker used the name "Alex" to describe her attacker.
She said: "He took away my trust in people and myself. The assault consumed me with shame and fear."
The woman, who attended court in person to see Secker sentenced, added she had experienced "unbearable anxiety, shame and fear" since the attack.'

Fuck every single barrister and judge that colluded in this utter pish. This not a woman in any shape or form.

I can't imagine how his victim felt hearing the court pandering to his bullshit.

Flowers to her, brave woman.

I honestly don't think anyone found guilty of rape/sex abuse against females should be allowed to 'identify' as the opposite sex. If you did that to a woman then you cannot be associated with them in any way. They should've kept calling him male and He.
I'm glad he went to a male prison.

Sounds like the judge’s computer needs looking at

Absolutely.

murasaki · 28/09/2024 18:07

I do struggle with the whole 'I promise to tell the truth' bit and then being obliged to lie about the sex of the perpetrator.

Also fuck the BBC for this paragraph:

Secker, 35, of Lowbourne, near Melksham, has been ordered to carry out her sentence in a male prison and will remain on the sex offenders register indefinitely.

There is ABSOLUTELY no need for "her" in this paragraph. Even if the reporter and/or the editorial team are all too fucking weak-minded or unprincipled to use "his" they could have said "carry out the sentence" so the decision to use "her" is just a gratuitous knife to the guts of this man's victim.

What can you expect from the BBC. An organisation known to be longstanding harbourers and protectors of paedophiles and sex offenders.

I don't understand why news organisations can't have a policy of "We'll call trans women by their chosen pronouns unless they use their penises to rape somebody". Literally only lunatics would disagree with that policy.

lunar1 · 28/09/2024 18:43

I don't get it at all, by legal definition in the uk, only a man can commit rape. Why on earth are they playing these stupid fucking games.

Because it would take that last step - which will have to come - into being clear with the world that calling someone by chosen rather than sex based pronouns is an honorific, a gesture of indulgence, that is not an entitlement.

Edited

Police Scotland have just made this step.

I imagine this rapist will suddenly and magically, 'become' a man again on his way to the male prison.

Exactly what I was thinking.

WandsOut · 28/09/2024 21:31

His pronouns are "Rapist Bastard"

And the pronouns of all who sat in the court referring to him as a woman are "Rapist Enablers"

Enoughwiththisshit · 28/09/2024 22:10

Alectoishome · 28/09/2024 17:20

I always feel very suspicious of judges who become notorious for consistently giving sex offenders lenient sentences. Such judges should be investigated themselves to find out why they are sympathetic to such bestial creatures.

Quite. My first thought was, 'I'll bet he has an interesting hard drive...'

Datun · 29/09/2024 07:00

The people going along with the female pronouns are doing a performative display of patriarchal dominance

This.

Including the judge.

It's a massive, deliberate insult to women everywhere.

ArabellaScott · 29/09/2024 07:05

When Andrew Burns said he was now called 'Obi Wan Kenobi' it was reported in scare quotes and didn't seem to be taken seriously.

When he said he was now called 'Tiffany Scott' they moved him to a women's prison.

His piss raking was ignored. His desire to terrorise.women was respected.

Datun · 29/09/2024 07:08

Bloody hell. Absolutely unhinged.

Many of Secker’s video essays were centered around condemning classic horror films which played on the tropes of crossdressing villains

Ironic.

Thevelvelletes · 29/09/2024 07:09

A bit of makeup and a dress doesn't make a man a woman.
He's a rapist.

Clarification: Burns was due to be moved to Cornton Vale but SPS backtracked after outcry - this article suggests that included prison staff.

Tiffany Scott HAD been cleared to move to women's jail despite Keith Brown claim

A prison source said that the violent trans offender, formerly known as Andrew Burns, was preparing to leave Low Moss in Glasgow, to be sent to a woman's prison like Cornton Vale in Stirling.

The people going along with the female pronouns are doing a performative display of patriarchal dominance because only in a patriarchy could a rapist man get everyone to pretend he was a woman.

Yes, exactly that. Court cannot and should not be a place to enable men to play games at the expense of women.

Absolutely this.

YesterdaysFuture · 29/09/2024 14:34

So it appears that after the rape he created this trans persona, creating videos on YouTube and being vocal on social media, for what I assume as evidence to assist his defence in his criminal trial.

Probably even worse for activists that now it is seen that people become activists to try to avoid (or lessen) criminal proceedings.

You have to wonder if someone is giving these people advice on how to escape justice and that currently creating a trans persona is one way to do it.

At the very least the fact that articles are published with this false name prevents people doing very basic background checks on the guy.

LakelandDreams · 29/09/2024 14:43

SilenceInside · 28/09/2024 15:47

Quite. Glad that she got a conviction given so very few do. The BBC article also states that the crime will be recorded as being committed by a male, as it absolutely should be.

He got a conviction. Your refusal to use his correct pronouns here is as offensive to the victim as the judge and barristers.

SilenceInside · 29/09/2024 14:46

@LakelandDreams I WAS REFERRING TO THE VICTIM. The only "she" in this story. I've been told off once already on this thread by another poster, I don't need it again. It's your assumption that I'm referring to the pos rapist that's the issue here. Language has been so successfully "queered" that people not longer understand basic English grammar.

My apologies. I genuinely thought you meant the rapist.

MelodyMalone · 29/09/2024 15:13

If referring to the rapist I imagine it would be more natural to say "he got convicted". "Got a conviction" generally refers to the other side.
