what has changed regarding women's rights and trans rights?

I was just sat thinking how much progress has been made for women over the last decade or so, with regards to this. I know there is still a long way to go and some serious issues. I thought it would be nice to have a thread of what has actually changed to our benefit.

so a couple of things that I think have helped tremendously are;

  1. Maya Forstater wining her case and enshrining Gender Critical as a legitimate belief. this has given me the legal safety net to speak up at work to protect our changing rooms and toilets and about the use of pronouns. have found many people agreeing with me

  2. The Cass Report, which has put a stop to the Tavistock and I think it helped Suzy Green on her way out of Mermaids (that may be inaccurate though)

what things do you think have made a real material difference?

I like to think Prof Lord Winston explaining to the nation on Question Time that mammals cannot change sex helped a bit.

I think what would help is basic safeguarding being respected and people being prosecuted or fired when they aren't doing their jobs properly.

There's an awful amount of collusion going on which reminds me of the Satanic panic a few decades ago. The women's refuge debacle is a case in point.

The Trustees let a man take a job which was meant for a woman. Everyone initially went along with breaking basic safeguarding including the chief executive. He wouldn't have got away with what he did without collusion.

It's always the same story when you get repeat offenders, people don't speak out so they get away with it sometimes for years. In the case of gender ideology, it's been institutionalised and many people are on the wrong side of history.

So, to go back to the question, one of the biggest ways of combatting this would be prosecution.

The men cheating in women's sports. Lia Thomas and the like. Even the most be kindest of folks can't look at that and think it's ok. Well a few idiots can but I think the majority realise it's not right which highlights the absurdity of trans ideology.

The Olympics and Paralympics.
Prior to that, in any discussion about Lia Thomas or Parkrun, I was constantly screaming 'At population level, males are bigger, stronger and faster than females'.
I haven't needed to for a bit. That might be because the kind of muppet who doesn't know this probably also has the attention span of a gnat so may have just forgotten to write sports related drivel. But I'm hoping the boxers and para runner may have just caused enough bad feeling that it's perhaps not a good look to be openly supportive.

80% of ETs and court cases concerning people with 'gender critical' views have won, proving that people can't be discriminated against for WORIADS views, and also proving that people have been discriminating, harassing and abusing people over these views.

Police Guidelines on NCHIs are improved, although still not brilliant.

Yes this definitely a subject that comes up in the wild a lot. Apropos of nothing I've said or intimated to people.

no no no! @poppyzbrite4 you did not understand the assignment! 😁 I want to collate the change that have happened, that have materially made a difference. things definitely ARE different from 10 years ago and I'm interested to see how those changes have been made

ok, so the international Boxing Association have definitely recognised the issue and don't allow men to box women. THE IOC, don't. do you know other sports orgs who have now prevented men competing against women. did the cycling move to protect women, I forget? and swimming??🤔
