I'm not really surprised but seriously, how on earth can anyone of any influence say something quite this stupid?

Yes I heard the mayor on the news last night. Pretty much saying, well no-one was killed so it's not that bad! Couldn't believe it!

Gisèle is so brave, and her daughter. They are both beautiful and dignified as well.

Bit late on this, but in response to RaspberryParade above, the village where this happened is Mazan, not Marzan. And the mayor whose words are quoted is Louis Bonnet, not Denis Le Ralle. Just in case anyone does want to express how they feel about what Louis Bonnet said - wouldn't want it going to the wrong man!
Good idea though ...

Well, maybe there are. Let's start with offensive, shocking, ignorant, stupid, tone-deaf. But these rather fall short of my reaction to it.

And what was her point in doing that? As a woman does she think being raped whilst unconscious is OK?

No idea. Looks like it is 'old' (but not ancient and we don't know how old - and she must have been working on this case for a while though) but allegedly reposted by her very recently.

I used to feel sorry for lawyers who had to try to defend the lowest of the low but no, it's all just a joke to her. She has no scruples. No empathy. On psychological terms there's a word for that...

Perhaps the Misogynist Mayor of Mazan would care to experience what Gisele Pelicot suffered before he opens his trap again, just to see if it changes his opinion.

It’s impossible to give a flying fuck about any of these men. But after Gisele and her daughter, the people I feel sorriest for are the rapists’ wives.
