I used to love this show but gave up a long time ago given the level of misogyny displayed. Awful men who absolutely do know better.

think this will be tricky for a lot of people. they will probably say they went along with it because "everyone thought that then-it was fashionable", which outs you as being either thick or a coward. Or both. personally I think the silence will be deafening as all sorts try to pretend they never said those things. we, however, have receipts. A lot of people are going to look very stupid (at best) in a few years time.

I couldn't agree more, @corlan - I used to enjoy The Last Leg, until they went full-on TWAW, and now I can't see past that.

I used to really enjoy The Last Leg and actually quite fancied Adam Hills! They totally lost me a few series back when he made some patronising comment to women along the lines of "FFS, no one is trying to erase you". I am utterly unsurprised at their TWAW stance. So disappointing.

They've lost a lot of viewers and I suspect their days are numbered.

I'm another former LL fan that stopped watching a few years ago. I skipped the week the penis pianist was on and never went back.

Why can't they see that a) elite sport isn't supposed to be 'inclusive' - it is by it's very nature selective b) that it is a sort of inclusion that excludes others. I'm sure Adam Hills would argue that he was excluded from sport so para sport was vital to him to enable his inclusion but he's not seeing that a category was created to enable his inclusion rather than abled bodies men having their category destroyed.

I used to like it, but it really over polished its right on halo too much for me. As others have pointed out, they're just a mob of smug preachers, out to browbeat any infidels.

And that prominent photo of Valentine really was instructive, I honestly fail to understand how people can honestly see such and go, "Yup, she's all woman." And that's not to mention that he's allowed 4 times the maximum testosterone of any woman.

Fuck him and the committee.

The irony is that this cheating man didn't even make it through to the final, so he's, at best, a mediocre athlete.

I'm no sports fan (or LL fan come to that) but I'd have thought the paralympics are even more exclusionary than the other ones. Not only do you have to be a brilliant athlete but you also have to have a disability. The vast majority of us are automatically excluded by those two metrics.

I watched it last night just to see what they had to say. Agree with PP - there was no cheering to support the announcement and when they panned round the audience there were definitely some stony faces there.

Yep. It makes me so furious how this man, who is perfectly intelligent, looks at JKR and decides he'd put money above integrity.

Because he knows a man has an unfair advantage. He just doesn't want to risk his career or be disliked for speaking truthfully.

Can you convert into a house with a separate studio apartment so that there is no net loss of housing?

Thing is, paralympics would still be inclusive if Valentina competed in the male category.

I mean, obvs Valentina wouldn't qualify for the male race, but in theory, having a trans woman in the 'correct' category is inclusive and wouldn't mean a woman loses out. I'd celebrate that.

He's 51, a good two decades past a sprinter prime. He wouldn't get a sniff at elite competition at 51 even if he was outstanding at 25. But he and Hubbard competing as 'women' in their 50's and not winning gives the 'see no advantage' crowd something to point at because they are either too stupid or too willful to ignore the age factor.

I suspect that the comedians circuit was always strong misogynistic - it's just that the left leaning types masked that well when female rights aligned with their own desires.

Now, when there's an opportunity to cheer on the bros and throw women under the bus, they're all over it. 🙄
