Can’t help but think, if these toilets hadn’t been definitely denoted as Women’s, the witness might not have felt so confident in reporting it and the police might even have dismissed it - after all why wouldn’t/shouldn’t a man be in the Unisex toilet?

Unfortunately the level of offending amongst males has always been so high that we’ve always had to have rules around access for the whole male sex, rather than the subset of them that are violent/rapists/pervs. That’s why it’s not acceptable to allow any of them into female spaces, no matter if they think they should be women.

Oh this is so typically sick. I remember going on a school camping trip and three boys were punished for listening to us using the toilets. When they get older they don't learn, they just get worse. Its so pathetic anyway - I mean, everybody pees!

There was a campsite I think it was called the sand banks that I went too

the toilets were like a steel lined arrangement, a long drop into some kind of sewer/tank system. You could look down the loo and see it. Was noisy so if you went for a pee at night everyone could hear you.

Anyway a rumour went around the site that a man was arrested. Found sitting in the sewer with his packed lunch enjoying the wee fest under the women’s loo.

Yeah sounds similar. I remember at our campsite the toilets were metal or stainless steel or something which made them noisy so everybody could hear what you were doing. Those boys no doubt got excited by being able to hear girls daring to pee!

I used to frequent to another provincial park in Quebec just about every weekend in summer. I found out a perv had cut a hole to look into the ladies changeroom. They had to install metal on the wall to stop it happening again. No idea if he ever saw me undressed. Bastards.

The good thing about maintaining sex segregated spaces is when a pervo does invade you can call police or security to get rid without risking arrest yourself.

It would only be "a good idea" if it really meant "men" and "women" by default, rather than what happens, which is that the "urinals" one is avoided by women (unless the queue for the other one is long, but even then some women won't go in it) so the men get their own toilet, while we have to share space. As usual.
