Listening to him on the Giles Brandretj podcast Rosebud - talking about Graham Linehan. Giles commented that he (Richard) has remained supportive of Glinner and Richard talked about Glinner's book where he is not so much transphobic as defending women's rights.

Ah this is great news! And it’s such a relief that people can finally speak out without fearing for their lives and jobs. And when I say people, of course I mean men. As women would probably still take a proverbial kicking if they dared. But the tide is turning.

Happy to hear this. I really like his comedy roles. Happy to hear that he’s seeing the problems here. Tamgent, but I wonder if his Christian beliefs in any way interplay with this thinking or not, I don’t mean in a socially conservative way, just in a fairness to women way.

Agree. He'd have been a good fit maybe a few years ago? But you never know who will work in that part until they get into it. My son is a Whovian fanatic and was disappointed when Matt Smith took over. He had lots of actors in mind himself and was like ' Matt who?' But he fell in love with that Dr! Then he was excited for the first woman Dr. Alas nobody could save those awful storylines....
