I don't know what led up to it, but the poster is presumably a woman who pretends to think that TWAW for social acceptability points.

But is then very quick to get extremely offended and go all in to prove that she is actually a woman. Which she is of course, but it just highlights the hypocrisy, doesn't it? She was just pretending to think TWAW. Very revealing of her actual thoughts.

Everyone knows they're all just pretending to believe TWAW but they're not usually so dense about revealing it!

I try to avoid twitter as it's too depressing, but that was worth it. 😂

There was a clip that Chris Elston did where he did this on one of his street days. It was remarkable how the woman reacted. She didn't even see the hypocrisy in her stance or the logic that if TWAW then it can be said that WATW too.

And there have been the women who have put in their bio that they are transwomen and been abused for this. The ideological activists just cannot see it. They don't seem to be able to see past the mantra.

I saw a YouTube short, probably from TikTok, a young woman at Pride somewhere in the States being interviewed by some shitstirring bloke. He started by telling her twaw with her enthusiastic agreement, he then congratulated her on how well she passed and she very quick to tell him she was a biological woman. Tbh it seemed a little cruel to me. I think she was high or drunk, but he made his point at least to his audience.

It does often seem that the most enthusiastic "supporters" actually have some serious hang-ups that possibly are leading to them being over-demonstrative.

It doesn't seem that glorious a thread to me. It just seems like the horrible kind of mutual hostility that makes Twitter exactly the wrong place for the trans issue (or any issue) to be discussed. Cruelty and one-upmanship. Of course most people who say that TWAW don't really believe it. I don't see what is gained by mocking someone for her inconsistency. It just gives transactivism more of an opportunity to roll out the "hate on both sides" line that they use to wrongfoot realism.

Almost as if a person was trying to see how few words it could take to be hypocritical. Five is a pretty good score.

In the original twitter thread, it feels like the desire to follow the party line suppresses the adult's ability to recognise that they are being poked fun of, and the best course of action is simply to disengage.

It's making me think that there's a suppression mode or part of the brain that when it's engaged to go along with something you know to be an untruth, also suppresses the ability of the brain to perform other functions. e.g. They are clearly widing me up, the sooner this ends the better, I'll disengage.

If that theory is true, turning on the suppression function of the brain has a very wide area of effect, is unfocused. Looks to be quite a risky thing to do.

"In the face of evidence to the contrary" - where have I seen that thought before... let me think..

Hypothetically speaking, if I'd collate a few phrases from the debate, the result could look like this:

"Cis Woman = Woman"
"TW = Woman"

leads to:
"Cis Woman = TW" and vice versa.

but then there's also:

"Women = Non-Men" (a "definition" that was discussed a few threads back).

Nobody comes out of that looking good.
