Language control, emotional manipulation, blackmail and its impact on being able to describe reality.

Having read both the recent drive-by scolding and another thread that is not about the boxers, I have been thinking about the conrol of language as below.

This is the foundation that gender ideology stands on.

This is the change from how transexuals were discussed in the recent past. Everyone knew that no-one could change sex and it wasn't a thought crime to know it or say it. It was a polite kindness that you could go along with if you wanted to. It was not enforced in an authoritarian manner.

Now you could 'lose your son/daughter/relative/friend if you use the wrong pronoun'.
You've got to think 'he he he' or 'she she she'.
You don't want to die alone do you?

This is the manipulation.
This is the blackmail.
This is how you are made to comply with ideology.

Fair enough re counselling! Have you got trusted friends/family you can chat with?

The lack of an expected emotional response sounds as much like a trauma response as anything, to me.

I do have friends and family I can talk to about it luckily (they are all pretty outraged and/or nonplused about it)

I have wondered too if its some kind of trauma reaction, especially given my past. I just don't know; it is indeed very odd.

I think the surrealism of the moment we are all in does not help. I mean who would have thought my beloved daughter who was so lovely and intelligent would cut me off for not agreeing men can be women and its just fine and dandy to lock up women with rapists if they say they have womanly feels, who would have seen that coming?

Its so completely insane that no-one took it seriously, until it was too late.

A freeze response? Glad you have people to talk to. And yes, the surreality of it all certainly doesn't help!

@Shaddowbaned I am so sorry to read of your situation , I am on the same trajectory as you. Hoping to avoid complete alienation but I’d put the current odds at 50:50. Interestingly, the same source of information for my DC as yours.
