A “gender critical” council worker was sacked after protesting the use of pronouns on his email signaturee_.
James Orwin was left furious when Caroline Lacey, the council’s chief executive, invited employees to “consider adding pronouns to your email signaturee_, should you wish to do so”.
In “protest”, Mr Orwin, an IT project officer, changed his email footer to “XYchromosomeGuy/AdultHumanMale” rather than he/himm_.

They didn't compel him to give his pronouns, apparently they said it was optional. I think he would have a better case if they had. I don't think sacking was appropriate though, and maybe a better lawyer would have been able to make that case.

I completely agree that the pronouns thing is a test/trap most of the time. Also sobering how many cases there are above the ones that make the headlines.

I'm with the council on this one. If no pronouns were declared (as is the case on my email signature), I would be supportive.

Does anyone know how/where to contact him?

He's just been on GB news and been stung with having to pay the council's costs on this.
He has set up a Go Fund me page and has taken early (I think enforced )retirement.
I can't find that page, unfortunately. Might not be posted yet.
He has my sympathies and I hope he gets full recompense.
