Good. Loved this comment:
"Fantastic news - lesbians & gay men will not tolerate gangsters at Stonewall going after us in the workplace for simply believing lesbians don’t have penises. Thanks so much for shining the spotlight on this revolting racket. I continue to stand with you every step of the wayX "

Absolutely bonkers that this needs saying

It's got to be JKR 😁👍👍

Allison, dracarys.

Unless the dear friend is Ben Cooper working pro bono.

Polyp0 · 25/11/2024 22:00

Ooooh. Interesting!

thirdfiddle · 25/11/2024 22:17

Absolute heroine. After all she's gone through in this case, seeing it through yet again. 💐

ToBeOrNotToBee · 25/11/2024 22:20

She is such a legend!

Datun · 26/11/2024 11:12

Big thanks to whoever is funding Allison, and I hope it is JKR.

lcakethereforeIam · 26/11/2024 11:23

I hope it isn't. It would be lovely to have another supporter with deep pockets.

I do like the image of a Bailey standing up to a Stonewall. It's a bit poignant to think though that they could have been on the same side if only Stonewall hadn't forgotten their purpose.

I know what you mean, it would be great to have more than one.

I just love her saying my dear friend, sending daggers into the hearts of TRAs everywhere

Yeah of course it's JK Rowling, the same donator who keeps gender critical orgs such as the LGBAlliance and FWS in existence. They have very little public support so need to rely on large drops of funding from her.

She will fail and embarrass herself again and frankly I think the courts should put a limit on the number of times people can keep appealing, but I think it's sad a gay rights org which I donate to is under constant attack by people who are gender critical.

Just this month a gay man in Switzerland's deportation to Iran was stopped thanks to Stonewall's intervention. Stonewall actually do things to do help gay and bi people, instead of fake gay rights orgs who just talk about trans people.

There is already a limit.

Glad to hear it. Nothing to do with this case though.

I bet

Of course, your gay man could be a heterosexual woman. Or is it not those types of gay men who get deported??

TWETMIRF · 26/11/2024 14:35

If homophobes like you Chris would stop harassing LGBA then that would help. Having to keep dealing with homophobic attacks takes up time when they could be doing what they want to do to help LGB people. I know you refuse to accept that gender identity and sexual orientation are different things and therefore what helps LGB is not the same as helps T but you are living in fantasy land while the rest of us live in the real world.

eatfigs · 26/11/2024 14:38

@Christinapple if you look at polling, the causes they fight for and the principles behind them have a lot of public support.

Not many people believe that a lesbian can have a penis, for example. That's a fringe belief held mostly by trans activist weirdos.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 26/11/2024 14:49

The word is donor, @Christinapple. HTH.

Sometimes these plopping posts on various threads read like they’re crowdsourced from Reddit and then posted here, spelling mistakes, Americanisms and all 🤔

There is a limit. All Allison is doing is using the standard appeals process. ET, EAT, Court of Appeal. This is how our justice system works.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/11/2024 16:09

Is "donator" what they call it in the states?

You think FWS have very little public support? Had to have a bit of a chuckle about that. Scottish women would very much disagree with you.

Edited

Plus there's the concept of being a vexatious litigant, which if I recall correctly, the flying "lawyer" has come dangerously close to being designated, if they haven't already been.

Harassedevictee · 26/11/2024 22:57

What Allison is doing could not be classed as a vexatious litigant. It’s one case that she is appealing.

dunBle · 27/11/2024 01:14

@Harassedevictee I wasn't implying that she was, just confirming that you can't just take court action willynilly, despite what certain TRAs might try to do.

Totallymessed · 27/11/2024 02:27

I don't think Jolyon Maugham would like the idea about limits😁
