I'd say there were plenty of other failings to note from the SNP, such as infrastructure, schools, health, etc.

But there is no doubt that their dogged insistence that Isla Bryson is a woman has contributed to their downfall.

'The louder and more stridently the Scottish Government’s transactivist lobby has shouted about “trans rights”, the more public support for them has nosedived. “Gender recognition” used to be supported by a margin of 40 points, now it’s opposed by a margin of 30, and nobody wants transwomen anywhere near women’s spaces.'

Stupid To The Grave

I was going to write this article yesterday, but 2024’s miserable damp squib of a summer unexpectedly delivered a beautiful day – a perfect 20C of unbroken sunshine with a refreshing sl…

It's why I'm not voting for them.

Please, stop, I'm dead already.

Lots more online . At first I thought they were fake but no 🤦‍♀️

Swinney looks like the Platonic ideal of a midlife crisis in those campaigning photographs 🙄

Perfect.

Seriestwo · 01/07/2024 16:28

It seems like even Joanna cherry’s seat is not secure. Scott Arthur,
l about leader of Edinburgh city council, seems to be picking up on the polls.

im worried about what happens if we lose our GC Parliamentarians and am sure if Joanna cheery is not re elected it’s because of the party and not her.

You're sure they're not AI images?

I can quite imagine what was fed into the machine to spit those out.

The bookies are now predicting a 3.4% Labour lead. If you're a Lib Dem in that constituency you might as well vote Labour. And if you're a Tory the constitutional aspects probably outweigh other considerations.

TWETMIRF · 01/07/2024 17:19

Those photos are even more cringeworthy than Ed Davey doing a bungee jump to get people to take a leap of faith and vote Lib Dem

There was this car crash from Swinney on Nicky Campbell this morning after being asked how many genders there are

It’d be a real loss to political sanity if she lost her seat.

The ones of him insisting a paddleboarder push him off into the water were pretty bad.

All pictures of Ed Davey are pretty bad though.
😂

A quick google shows Ed Davey zumba dancing, Ed Davey bungee jumping, and Ed Davey hilariously falling off a paddleboard.

Odd man.

It would be a greater demonstration of political sanity if she'd resigned from the SNP.

TWETMIRF · 01/07/2024 17:59

Paddy Ashdown would be turning in his grave if he could see the absolute state of the party today

Edit: Sorry meant to quote a post but got excited

@ArabellaScott The trouble is I won't vote for a party that says I'm 'probably racist' for wanting to defend women's rights. Just no, thank you.

OMG yes, I'd forgotten that. Nicola Sturgeon on people who are "transphobic" (i.e. didn't support the GRR bill): " just as they're transphobic you'll also find that they're deeply misogynist, often homophobic, possibly some of them racist as well” I'm outraged all over again!

I don't know if I'll ever stop being outraged at the shit behaviour of the SNP high heid yins.

And to think I voted them in. Them and the batshit Greens. My MP, who I met for the first time on my doorstep recently, told me, "Well, the SNP weren't the only party who voted this in." No, but they spearheaded it, along with their sidekicks, blocking women's groups from consultation, and it wasn't even a twinkle in Nicola Sturgeon's eye in the last Scottish Parliament election. Deeply unpopular with members and the electorate, and strangely coinciding with a massive fall in SNP membership.

Especially as it's the ones banging the trans drum that are likely to be those things

😱the silence 😵😵😵
you could see NC going against all his radio experience to NOT fill the dead air.

spectacularly bad - worse than the mid life crisis photos (although considering the modern male midlife crisis expression of choice I suppose we should be grateful for the car....)

TheShellBeach · 30/06/2024 23:46

Thank you.
They lost me as a Party member and voter quite a while ago.

I think Swinney will get a nasty shock on July 5th when he sees how many votes the Labour Party have picked up

I fear this is an underestimation of just how sticky the SNP vote is. Why would any GC feminists vote Labour? I wouldn't be surprised if SNP held on to far more of their seats than some are predicting. Perhaps a much lower overall voter turnout but with a motivated SNP turnout.

Morwenscapacioussleeves · 01/07/2024 22:23

I agree unfortunately NCGrandParent
so many places where you could get a potato elected for the SNP 😩

Just last week I listened to raving about how they had to vote SNP because the evil Tories were responsible for all the terrible -long list of devolved areas 🤦🏻‍♀️
and had someone tell me they campaign for the SNP I explained all my objections to the SNP & she agreed with all of them except she wants "independence" so will continue to work for them regardless 🤦🏻‍♀️

EinekleineKatze · 01/07/2024 22:26

I honestly don't know who to vote for tbh, none of them seem to have a remote clue of how to improve the lives of the average person.
