Note : this thread is not for telling other people how to vote. Plenty other threads for this. This thread is to tell us what your plans are for 4 July.

Do you have plans already? Would you be staying up late? Any memorable election days from the past?

Staying up late to watch the election for the first time in my life. Not playing drinking games, may play Tory bingo for who loses their seats. Looking forward to seeing if anyone on my personal hitlist goes - although some of them have already stepped down.

Lie in and hopefully celebratory mood the next day when we've kicked the nasty divisive conservative c*nts out ready for a fresh start.

As it's on a Thursday we'll be taking DP's mum shopping;followed by dinner,a bath and an early night.

Same as every Thursday really.

DH and I have postal votes, so our voting will be done before 4th July. The day time will be like any Thursday for us, but we’ll be looking forward to the exit poll at 9pm, late evening will be pizza, cups of tea (we don’t drink alcohol) and home made scones or cake to sustain us into the early hours. We’ll be obsessively watching TV news coverage and enjoying watching Tories fall like skittles!

I screwed up, as I rescheduled a doctor's appointment for the Friday morning, and had forgotten it was the day after the election, so am hopeful the results come in thick and fast in the early hours so I'm not tempted to stay up til it starts getting light.

I have a scheduled c section! So if the baby doesn't come early, I'll be getting into hospital at 6am and greeting baby hopefully by 9.30am! Then I might be too busy gazing besotted at the new LO to remember it's election day. DH and I have requested postal votes so we should have already voted.

I guess we'll probably be staying up most of the night anyway though, and it'll be wonderful if the baby's first dawn heralds a new government!

I'll be in hospital all morning for a routine infusion that I get every 4 weeks. Will probably go with dh to vote on the way, or we might wait until dh gets home from work and go with dd2, it's her first GE.

Then we will stay up all night and watch the results! We intend to toast every Tory who loses a seat!

I'm working as a Poll Clerk too. Thursday is usually my day off so I'm hoping to get a day's holiday on the Friday.
DH said he was planning to stay up and watch the results; tbh it will depend how tired I am when I get in.

Will do 'ib dib dog shit' in the voting booth.

Will stay up - we always do - but I'm not expecting a late night. Just as well as I have a busy weekend.

So not arsed about this election. Its a forgone conclusion. Kinda dull tbh.

Work, vote, eat, nap, watch.
