It’s an offence to buy alcohol for a minor aka ‘proxy purchase’ (and a breach of the sellers license to sell to someone who you suspect will give it to a minor) so seems reasonable to me.

Obvs laws aren’t always enforced but knowing something is illegal is enough to make most people think they probably shouldn’t do that thing.

The law hasn’t kept up with the internet in lots of ways, being able to easily buy grey market prescription-only drugs is only one of them.

slightly off topic but I'm told its easy to buy under the counter antibiotics etc if you know where to go
