I don’t see anything wrong with the boots advert.

There a males wearing make up and feminine clothing - which they are free to do - but no one is claiming they are really women. Given boots sell make up I see no issue with them trying to gear their advertising to part of their market.

I agree with that, nothing wrong (and nothing new actually) about boys in makeup etc. As long as they're not claiming doing so mysteriously turns them into women.

Layton (last year) and Johannes on Strictly, etc - all glammed up but nobody is pretending they are girls.

I think the Boots advert is deliberately goady, the line "that is so them" in particular.

I think the marketing department is hoping for outrage, which it has got.

Another company to add to the boycott list: Enterprise Rent A Car.

Matt Goodwin and James Esses have just published an expose on their substack (worth signing up to) after a whistleblower told them what staff are having to tolerate due to the capture of this organisation by TRAs. Enforced use of pronouns, men allowed in female only spaces etc.

Here's an extract:

"Particularly chilling is when they are warned that “there will be zero tolerance” for “purposely ignoring someone’s preferred pronouns”. Employees are forced to adhere to a set of beliefs on pain of punishment. This is abuse of power.
The policy document goes on to say that “all employees are permitted to utilise the facilities which align with their gender identity”, meaning that female staff members can expect to find men in their spaces."

I feel sorry for their staff. I mean what has this got to do with car hire?!

We are being taken for fools

Gender identity theory is taking over

The word ‘gifting’ instead of ‘giving’ is so annoying imo that I can’t bear to sift through the blurbs to get to those videos.

So the men in question are presumably ‘they/themming’ as supposed non-binaries, not just men in makeup.

Goodbye Boots, as far as possible.

Several years ago I was in PaH looking at the hamsters. 4 in the female tank were clearly male and vigorously making more hamsters.
The only staff I could find was a young woman on the till, who asked me how I could tell. I blinked a few times and suggested she come and look. She didn't.

I don't think she believed me that it was possible to tell that 4 male pubescent mamals were enclosed with a dozen females of the same type.

I went back a week later and there were no hamsters for sale.

Sat through a demonstration of how to clean our new rabbit’s penis at PaH. It was only afterwards we pointed out our rabbit was female

You what? But why? Why would you clean a rabbit's penis even if it had one?

This reminds me of the young man in PaH who accosted me when I was buying hay, to try to sell me "readygrass" which just looks like dark green dyed hay in a smaller pack with a much bigger price. He told me the most important thing was to never ever EVER feed them grass from the garden.

I asked him what he thought their grandparents and great grandparens ate, before readygrass was invented. He did not have an answer for this.

OK off to google cleaing a rabbit's penis...
