Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

@crunchermuncher
Also, this quote has melted my brain:
"Cook also co-founded a safe sex campaign group called Grunt, which promotes 'hot, informed sex between trans guys and cis guys."

So... who is having sex with whom? How would you know whether this group is for you or not?

When you strip off all pseudo intellectual fluff it sounds like heterosexual sex that identifies as gay sex? Breasts optional.

Given that this is unusual behaviour for a woman and there have been cases of violent and murderous crimes by TiFs, I’m fast coming to the conclusion that large doses of testosterone is not very good for females.

AvacadoFieldsForever · 29/02/2024 01:30

If you are part of an organisation offering advice to children, schools, safeguarding organisations, risk adverse corporations, businesses that put pressure on their employees to accept new ways of doing things etc. how - why - what - who is checking on this?

This. I think there’s a correlation with teen boys, high levels and risky behaviour.

Of course no one is checking the effects of any of this on anyone.

I wonder how much positioning kink as just another sexual orientation has been working towards this end?

Look at the response of Girl Guides, NSPCC etc. I wonder if some people in the UK ( I realise the story is Australia) are genuinely confused about whether kink is a protected characteristic because it's now commonly presented as a form of sexual orientation.

Agreed.

”Safe sex” campaign? Gender ideology determines that “hot, informed sex between trans guys and cis guys” is gay sex. So it sounds to me it’s the trans man/gay man equivalent of trans identifying men with penises trying to convince lesbians to have sex with them.

I could clutch at straws and say that the word "informed" at least suggests honesty, that it wouldn't be sex by deception.

Or that it means that transmen are informed of what safe sex with actual men is, and of the possibility of pregnancy for transmen, what with them actually being female.

But then it could be, as a PP suggests, a campaign aimed st gay men to "educate themselves" than transmen are real men.

Someone with sexual boundaries this low, do they have any boundaries at all???, should not be in any position influencing policy or law. This should not be controversial to say.

Of the three TiFs I know personally, all three were involved in the kink scene and had very low sexual boundaries (and were very open about it).

I'm guessing the effects of testosterone plus a lack of male puberty mean that there was never a gradual increase of T in order to psychologically manage a higher libido. Couple that with involvement in an incredibly misogynistic movement which often goes hand in hand with "sexual boundaries are for prudes, broadening sexual boundaries is liberating" attitudes, I would expect a high proportion of TiFs to have lower sexual boundaries than a non-trans female baseline.

WitchyWitcherson · 29/02/2024 12:06

(Note in my post above, none were involved in illegal sex to my knowledge, but were putting themselves at considerable personal risk)

All the more reason to be separating out the legally protected LGB from everything else. I wonder if there are any TQ+ activists who object to the kink stuff being tagged on to their identities - TQK+?
