The royal mint are producing limited edition coins with various dinosaurs, I don't know if they will put any in general circulation or this is just for collectors.

I was hoping for a campaign of defacing coins like the suffragettes did. But no-one uses coins any more I suppose, and defacing a card reader doesn't really have the same effect...

Like when Arlene Foster referred to Sinn Féin as crocodiles (go figure...) thereby guaranteeing lots of inflatable crocs at SF rallies, and 'Crocodile Rock' as a ready-made campaign song.

I don't think the coins will be in circulation, but they are an edition for collectors.

I ordered all three a while ago and received the T-rex a couple of months ago. Looks like the stegosaurus one has just been released so hopefully I'll receive it in the post soon. 😁

I'm not certain but I think the non coloured ones will go into general circulation.
