The RTE player link didn't work for me but the segment is viewable from Ritchie Herron's Twitter https://twitter.com/TullipR/status/1735435781039095941

RTÉ News have put this up on YouTube:

Leading doctors report HSE to HIQA over transgender care | Prime Time

Richie Herring is a lovely guy. There was a very distressing tweet from him a while back. I hope he is in a better place now. And I hope he gets a large financial compensation for all he has been through.

I too watched this on Richie Heron's Twitter.

That Niamh person said two things that really contradicted his position on gender affirming "care":

  • trans people should not be "pathologized"
  • the gender affirming model accepts the person's sense of their own gender id at any point in time, which he admits may change from one year to the next, including back to their birth sex. Ie. gender is fluid.

So why on earth are activists like him demanding irreversible medical treatments? For something that isn't a disease, and may not last?
