Common sense prevails this time but how do these ridiculous grievances ever get as far as they do?

Unless there’s huge gaps in the story, it’s absolutely plain to anyone that there’s nothing to see here.

Trans woman's harassment case against the local authority thrown out

Mandie Monroe caused 'confusion' soon after joining the authority because her name on the rota was Mandie but her name on her email said Andy.

Am I reading it right? Started the job on April 19 2022, then "had a fallout with bosses over work-related matters and by May 18, 2022, she stopped working for the council".

So worked there for less than a month?

I think if Humza Yousuf was the judge, he would have thrown it out thusly "At it Gender, Plainly"

Nah. That was just because he was cornered for the cameras.

It's a good plan, but these often all go pearshaped.

BezMills · 07/12/2023 14:29

Arthurbella, good point

HermioneWeasley · 07/12/2023 14:35

Cases get this far and cost thousands to defend because tribunals never throw out discrimination claims no matter how weak. The system is a disgrace. He should be barred from bringing any more claims as a vexatious litigant

Another grift planned, no doubt.

I, sincerely, hope he's changed his email address. I'm surprised that at least some of it wasn't blanked out.

He seems very highly strung.

It's not only words that they leap on. A raised eyebrow can have the police called, even though they don't reckon it is transphobic and go away without action. (And 'he' instead of 'them'.)
