The Scottish Government has a Plan!

It really does, it says so. The plan has 50 points and is aimed at addressing the needs of the country's non-binary population. Maybe if all of us here in the Highlands&Islands declare ourselves NB they will build us some fecking ferries.
I will do a sharetoken when I'm on a different device in a bit.

I'm tempted to look at some other consultations over Christmas while I'm off.
I may report back with the absolute batshit they've produce this year.

All that process to get partially rid of a dead body and I can only imagine maybe 5 people in Scotland even want to do this. How many MSPs, how much time, how many meetings. It defies belief.

I mean… I’m not adverse to a more ecologically sound method of disposing if my own body in the future.

But, I do think the government should be able to distil the key points of their proposed policy for me in a way that is easy to understand. I’d like to have, for example, some sense that it might actually be more ecological or otherwise better.

I don’t want an overlong and clear as mud ministerial foreward. Ever. On anything.

Even more so because I know that the bloody minister will have insisted that the policy civil servants distilled everything into easy to understand bullet points of key information for them at every single point in the process. Yet the public get dense text that never gets to the point.

🎯🎯🎯

to be fair we have a health secretary who doesn't have the brains to use WiFi to watch the football so we can't go expecting tricky stuff now can we🙄

Yet manages to be deceitful enough to try to claim the money back from taxpayers.

They're as bad as the Welsh lot. Both governments are racing to be the first/best at the crappiest policies.

I can imagine that someone who is so nonbinary that they can't work out whether they do the sperm or egg bit of 'making a baby' might need some help with the process.

But nobody really thinks that, do they? They just think their sex is irrelevant to their sexual reproduction. Or something.

Kirsty Blackman MP for Aberdeen perhaps? Who does not know what chromosomes she has but assumes they are XY. She also has an interesting dress with space rockets on.

Joanna Cherry’s reaction was epic.

‘No Clue What My Chromosomes Are’: Lefty Politician Draws Hilarious Reaction From Colleague During Floor Debate

Scottish Parliament Member Kirsty Blackman said during debate on the Equality Act 2010 that she had "no clue" what her chromosomes were.

Joanna Cherry’s reaction was epic.

That reaction inspired my poem!

XY or XX?
Blackman can't tell which one is her sex,
A person who has birthed two humans,
Is so indisputably a woman,
The UofA must be shaking their heads,
Rejoicing she went into politics instead.
A nation previously known for its' intellectual ken,
'You'll have had your Enlightenment then?'

Brilliant!😁

She'll have had her 'T'

Anyone in particular 👀

(is it just me that thinks they've blathered on & on in that consultation in an attempt to distract the reader's brain from the obvious "serial killer" vibe ?!!)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who spent too much time looking into the technical side of "water" cremations.

An epic reaction to epic stupidity.

When the news broke that The Tavistock was closing, I posted on Twitter “it’s the beginning of the end!” One of the GC feminists I follows replied to me “I’m afraid not, it’s just the end of the beginning…”. I really thought she was being pessimistic but she wasn’t. She was right and I am now convinced that we are stuck with this. It’s embedded and we have to find a way to live with it and innoculate our children against it. My Mum was fretting about how all this BS might affect her other much younger grandchildren - mine are teens - I said “they’ll be used to it. This will be their normal.”

Scotland is lost.

This woman a mortician first introduced me to the idea of Aquamation - her take is very USA industry take.

I'm not sure but a carboard box under a tree does have a certain appeal.
