The head of Brighton Council Bella Sankey had dismissed parents' concerns as 'baseless smears', but head teacher has now admitted that staff knew a child wore a binder while parents were unaware, and that there have been concerns raised over PSHE lessons.

Parents are asking for an apology.

This is the same Council that sacked a Councillor from her role for 'transphobic' comment on social media recently.

Sixty comments on the article now. That's a lot of engagement.

I wonder if this is going to tip over into being visible now? Perhaps enough children have been harmed?

It is excellent news that a new organisation (PSHE Brighton) has been set up to challenge what has been going on.

Hopefully schools will no longer think they can behave like this with impunity - angry parents have found each other and are now on the case.

I think once schools start being sued it will sharpen their minds somewhat.

Although I have some sympathy for those in power - it's a very unclear situation and those guidelines are sorely needed.
