The head of Brighton Council Bella Sankey had dismissed parents' concerns as 'baseless smears', but head teacher has now admitted that staff knew a child wore a binder while parents were unaware, and that there have been concerns raised over PSHE lessons.

Parents are asking for an apology.

This is the same Council that sacked a Councillor from her role for 'transphobic' comment on social media recently.

Brighton Council is so dodgy. They’ve ruined a lovely town.

The comments are worth a read. Some are suggesting parents sue.

I hope they do. Lying to parents and then accusing them of making stuff up. I bet this family have gone through hell over this.

Maybe so--but are they doing what the voters elected them to do? Perhaps those who are willing to get out and vote actually want this kind of thing to happen.

The Labour council took over from former Green council in May there were bunch of reasons, but the Greens defunding women's refuges was one factor.

There was a bunch of local women campaigning against the Greens and helped bring them down.

Only of course Labour are proving sexist as well.

One of my besties recently abandoned Brighton after 20
years and moved back to London, said that women-unfriendly Green policies were her deciding factor (as well as the Green tendency to waste public funds on projects with naff all usefulness eg chaotic cycle lanes, and she’s an everyday cyclist!)

IIRC Brighton has a number of fairly expensive independent schools - I wonder what line they are taking when it comes to child transition? If I was a parent of school-age children in Brighton, I’d seriously consider going private or moving away.

Does this mention the insane woman who bleeds into white clothes to start a conversation with pupils?

In another example, a teacher at a Brighton school told pupils she was non-binary and didn't need to wear sanitary protection.

Instead, the teacher wears white, very tight linen clothes when she menstruates. This means the blood shows through in order to generate a 'conversation with the kids'.

Honestly shit like this makes me glad I left that area!

This seems like just yet another case - like the Open University in Jo Phoenix’s case, like the school employing the man with the z cup tits - where people must KNOW this is wrong but they’re unwilling or unable to go against the ideology. They’d rather be flayed in the media or even through the courts than risk upsetting TRAs or being accused of being transphobic.

A child has been put on cross sex hormones without the parents consent, and is now in care with the concerned parents labelled 'transphobic'

God, the poor child. The poor family.

‘In care’? It’s a shocking story, but I can’t see anything saying the child is in care.

If I was those parents I would be sueing the school, council, the youth group and every individual teacher and adult who was involved with this for tourcus(sp) interference with their parental rights.

They certainly have form. The Times wrote an article about their keenness for gender identity several years ago.
